Very lovely park to spend time in. Especially during the summer nights and weekends. It has also a historical reputation since it was named after the Time correspondent Burton Harris. This park was lucky to come existence due to the king's order to rehabilitate the place as an open park for Tangier residents. The worst thing is that during the night many idiots come here and start racing making too much noise by their Motorcycles and racing cars. Unfortunately police doesn't act toward this at all. It causes disturbing also to the clients of the nearby hotels and cafe. A phenomenon that needs to be solved for real. The overall outlook is amazing and the place is clean. Visiting this park is free, and it offers a beautiful and expansive natural setting with stunning forest and ocean views. For locals, there's a 10dh entrance fee to access the villa, while foreigners are charged 70dh. I chose not to enter the villa because I felt that spending 10dh wasn't justified. I highly recommend visiting this park; you can conveniently catch a grand taxi near Mohammed V Mosque in Tangier for just 5dh per person, and it's easy to find one for your return journey. اكتست فيلا هاريس، البناية الأسطورية التي تقع في قلب مالابطا، أحد الأحياء الشهيرة بمدينة طنجة، حلة جديدة بعد سنوات عديدة من الإهمال لتعيد مجددا إحياء حقبة كاملة وتاريخ يجهله البعض ونسيه آخرون. القول بأن فيلا هاريس عاشت أعمارا عديدة سيكون أمرا بخسا. فهذه البناية التي شيدها والتر بورتون هاريس، المراسل الصحفي لجريدة التايمز بالمغرب، في نهاية القرن التاسع عشر، شهدت العديد من المالكين على مدار عقود من الزمن وخضعت للعديد من التغييرات قبل أن يتم تسجيلها ضمن التراث الوطني. وقد بني والتر هاريس، المتيم بالثقافة المغربية والعربية الإسلامية ، منزله مستلهما نمط الهندسة المعمارية المغربية التقليدية، واختار تزيينه بالجبص المنحوت بالطريقة التقليدية والأعمال الخشبية والفسيفساء التقليدية المغربية (الزليج). وبالنسبة للسيد المصباحي، فإن هذا الاختيار المعماري الذي يمزج بين التصميم الغربي والأسلوب المغربي التقليدي، يجعل من هذه البناية رمزا حقيقيا للانصهار الثقافي والحوار بين الثقافات. في ثلاثينيات القرن الماضي باع هاريس، الذي تراكمت عليه الديون، منزله إلى مواطن إسباني حول المسكن إلى ناد للقمار ، قبل أن يعمد كلوب ميد (نادي المتوسط) إلى اقتنائه في ستينات القرن الماضي. وتم بناء قرية سياحية في محيط فيلا هاريس كانت تستهوي وتستقطب العديد من السياح إلى غاية تسعينات القرن الماضي. وبعد مغادرة كلوب ميد ، ظلت فيلا هاريس غير مأهولة وحدائقها غير مستغلة وتدهورت بمرور الوقت. وفي سنة 2007 التي تم خلالها إدراجها ضمن التراث الوطني، نالت هذه البناية الأسطورية أخيرا العناية التي تستحقها. بالإضافة إلى كونها أحد المعالم البارزة لمدينة طنجة، تعتبر فيلا هاريس جزءا من الهوية والتاريخ الحضاري...
