Burman Barbershop (Bogalay Zay St) — Attraction in Yangon

The online reservation system is broken and I had an experience where they kept telling me to reserve online even though system wasn't working well. I made a reservation and showed up only to be told that the timeslot was taken (website said it was available). I also tried to make a phone reservation before but it wasn't noted down. I considered never going back but it is difficult to find a place to get a decent haircut in Yangon, so you work with what you've got.

Haircut is a bit expensive (senior barber) but it is a great experience, You get your haircut on the second floor. Senior barber is much more meticulous and seems more skilled than the regular barbers. They also serve whiskey while you wait although you can get coffee/tea as well i think.

Interiors are great and staff is friendly enough, but for an establishment that's been open for several months now not all of them mm to understand good customer service (they don't make it easy for customers to schedule appointments). All hail Nyein Chan (Dean), I am out of words for what he has offered me. Just couple of note for him and the service. Very knowledgeable about hair and hair products (very rare in Yangon) Very patient and detail oriented (he took his time until satisfaction is achieved (90 mins to be exact) A nice chatty pal with a smile - you will not be bored if you like talking about your hair and getting tips. Very neat and tidy inside out the shop and fully equipped. Range of drinks to choose from (although not my priority but still an add on) I was late - Dean managed to wait for me - overall he spent 2 hrs ( not recommended to be late - just trying to compliment his patience. He is very passionate and serious about his career and shows a great love of what he does.
