We can’t say enough good about Ngima Sherpa and NMMT! We booked a trip for May 2020 with them - COVID intervened and we quickly got ALL of our money back - so it was a no brainer to go back to them in 2022! We were not disappointed. We originally wanted to explore Bhutan and Tibet as well, but since they were closed, Ngima redid the trip to encompass Nepal only. They worked closely with us to create the trip of a lifetime. Kathmandu, 8 days trekking to Ghorepani and Khopra Danda, then Bandipur, Nagarkot…we were in expert hands from start to finish. Our trekking guide, Angelu Sherpa was amazing. Set a good pace but insured we could keep up. He really took care of us throughout. In Kathmandu, Toshi and Lakpa got us wherever we needed to go with ease. Super flexible - drove us to meet with friends, got us Kamal, an excellent local guide, drove us to get COVID tests for departure…. Whatever we needed or wanted they accommodated us. This is a local, family-owned and operated company - MUCH preferable to those big tour operators based in UK or Australia. Friendly, personal…they took care of us like we were family. They were the best, no question. If you are thinking about Nepal - and you should because it is INCREDIBLE, NMMT is the only way to go. You won’t be...

We just completed our third trek with Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails, Kanchenjunga Circuit. It's a remote and demanding trek, but less visited which was the attraction for us. Flooding events the week prior to our arrival caused major infrastructure destruction to roads, bridges, and trails. Ngima and his team are incredible - highly professional and efficient. They managed to organise five separate and connecting vehicles to get us through the blocked section. And while that took us 2 instead of one driving day, they got us to an alternate starting point and back on track. Our guide and porter were a fantastic team, very motivated and fit and managed more flexibility on route to cope with landslide detours, weather and other obstacles that were thrown our way. Our guide was very flexible, kept us informed and made very sound decisions to make the trek an amazing experience for us. I cannot praise their attitude, experience and professionalism highly enough. If you are thinking about trekking in Nepal, Nepal Myths and Mountains are definitely the local partner you want to organise your trip and ensure an unforgettable experience and...

I did the Three Passes Trek from mid-April to early May as a solo female traveler. Ngima was wonderful at planning the trip. I was impressed by how organized and communicative he was beforehand. Throughout the trip, he met me at the airport and kept tabs on all logistics to make sure things went well when flights to Lukla became delayed and when I felt slightly unwell above 16k feet. He personally guided me around Kathmandu. My trekking guide was Tashi and porter was Rabi. They were absolutely fantastic. I felt they were looking out for me at all times and incredibly respectful. We formed a little trail family. When I didn’t feel well, we changed routes to have a more leisurely trek downhill instead of tackling two more high elevation passes. This was the experience of a lifetime! 1000/10...

What a pleasure it has been to be involved with Ngima and Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails. We initially booked in 2019 pre covid, unfortunately we had to cancel. So pleased we decided to resurrect the booking for this year. Our guide Tashi and porter Mingma have catered to our every need and shared a lot of laughs. They insisted on doing trek at our pace (2 x 70 year olds) and we arrived at Tikhedunga after started at Astam feeling remarkably good. The accommodation was in tea houses which were always clean and tidy. Food was great , Dhal Bhat is to be celebrated! Nepal is a wonderful warm and safe country, the people are an absolute delight. Thoroughly recommend Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal. Ngima will tailor a trek to suit any of your wishes.
