Nagarkot is beautiful & renowned place with magnificent views from mountains like Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Ranges from Langtang, Ranges from Rolwaling & many mores including Everest , but the bitter truth is there's no hiking trail remains to do a hike around Nagarkot. Every where there's a dusty road constructed , it could impact the overall hiking experience. Construction activities can sometimes lead to environmental changes and affect the natural beauty of an area. Additionally, dust and noise from construction can be disruptive to the tranquility that many hikers seek. Before planning a hike in Nagarkot or any other location, it's advisable to check for the latest travel updates, reviews from other travelers, and information from local tourism authorities. Conditions on the ground can change, and recent reviews or news articles might provide insights into the current state of the area and help you make an informed decision about your hiking plans.

Sooo, I had much expectations but at the end it's not that good. Nature is nothing crazy in that area . Although I have to say that is a excellent way to see the country side villages and people lifestyle. I have added the pictures I have done in The NICEST places. We have done the route passing by the waterfall bridge. After the bridge there's a place call coffee and resort ( it's not at all a resort and there's no coffe !!!!) but they have some food and drink , fair price. No need for gide ... Google worked for us . We took a taxi from Kathmandu untill the closest point to the panoramic hiking hill point. There's not indicators during the route !!! No tourist also . Again, Nature, honestly not worth to do if what you want is to enjoy from new nature. There's nothing different in comparison with a European forest.. (I'm spanish and my husband french ) Everything is polluted and ravish everywhere like in the rest of the country.

Serene and scenic trek located near Kathmandu, Nepal — breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range, including glimpses of Mount Everest on clear days. This trail winds through charming hill villages, terraced fields, pine forests, and peaceful ridgelines.

This panoramic Hiking Trail is perfect enough for good 3 to 3.5 hours ideal for everyone from young travellers to family with children as it is pretty easy hike. This hike includes Nagarkot Nature Trail + Tamang Village Walk (starting from kartike village) + Panoramic Hiking Trail with 180 degree views of the stunning landscapes with lush greenery. You will enjoy the time in nature and burn some good calories in this trek. Perfect to enjoy the stunning mountain views in quiet and with fresh mountain air. The hike is through beautiful pine trees and bamboo which is very beautiful with birds chirping. After you will complete the nature trail, you will reach Kartike village from where you can see the mountain villages perched on the hill with terraced farmlands and if the weather is clear, you will awarded the stunning himalayan views. It is a very safe and secure hiking which can be done with or without guide. however it is still recommended to have a guide as you might get lost on the way as there are no clear signboards or directions on the way. For your information, the second part of hike after nature trail, starts from kartike and ends at dhanda gaun (gaun means village in nepali). where your landmark should be a school with blue color roof. from that school, it's a good uphill walk around 5 minutes. From there you need to turn left with a very inspiring views of the rolling hills and villages. You will make one whole loop of the village. It is around 12 km hike and it is very very beautiful time in nature in...

Combine Nagarkot scenic panoramic trail with the Nagarkot nature trail in a two to two and a half hour circuit walk. Started at Hotel Country Villa. Followed main road north for a few hundred metres to Unkai resort. Follow the path on the left side of Unkai resort down the spur until you reach the dirt road under the high voltage electrical tower. Take a right turn and follow the track south. There is the potential for panoramic views east provided there is no smog. Visibility was poor for me. There are lots of birds to been seen along this section of the walk. When you get close to Nagarkot you will see more larger buildings. At the first fork in the road take the right fork and start climbing towards the town. You will pass the primary school and then keep climbing until you reach the main road. Follow the main road north for a short distance and you will see the secondary college on the left. The nature trail starts on the left side of the road after the secondary school. There is a sign there. Follow the nature trail in a north westerly direction for about five hundred metres until you see a trail climbing up the hill on the right hand side. Climb up this trail and it will take you back to the main road. Follow this north for a few hundred meters to arrive back at the starting point. Two hours with plenty of stops for bird watching. You can see my route on Alltrails app under the Nagarkot to Kattike...

Ideal for acclimatization before heading to the trekking. Nature walk with stunning mountain views + Fresh Mountain air + Serene atmosphere. Good 3 -3.5 hrs with around 12 km hike. This hike includes Nagarkot Nature Trail + Village Walk (starting from kartike village) + Panoramic Hiking Trail with 180 degree views of the stunning landscapes with lush greenery. First Part (Nature Walk) You will start this trail with quiet walk inside the pine trees where you can enjoy the freshness of nature and take lots of mountain oxygen. The initial Nature Trail is a lovely walk through a dense coniferous forest. Second Part (Village Walk) After you will complete the nature trail, you will reach Kartike village from where you can see the mountain villages perched on the hill with terraced farmlands and if the weather is clear, you will be awarded with the stunning himalayan views. Third Part (Panoramic Trail) The second part of hike starts from kartike VILLAGE and ends at dhanda gaun VILLAGE (gaun means village in nepali). When you reach dhanda gaun village, you need to turn righwhere your landmark should be a school with blue color roof. from that school, it's a good uphill walk around 5 minutes.
