We did a 1h canoeing + whole day walking tour. Our guide was definitely knowledgeable, as he could answer most of the questions on animals and plants. He also spoke good English and was friendly. However, he was unprofessional in many occasions: in the canoe, full of people from other tours with their respective guides, he was leading a continuous joke with loud laughter, while the rest of the people were trying to enjoy the ride with the calm and bird sounds of the early morning; he also told us to take advantage of the breaks in the observation towers to ask most of the questions, since during the walk it was better not to make too much noise, but then he always stayed one level below us at the towers to have his smoke and check on his phone, so he never looked for animals from there (unlike other guides) and it was difficult to have conversations; during lunchbreak, he was smoking marihuana, which is particularly unprofessional considering he explained how dangerous wildlife could be and how to react in the potential attack of a rhino, bear, or big cat; while he did answer to most of the many questions we asked, he sometimes kept playing with his phone and several times just gave a one-word reply instead of an explanation. This was particularly disappointing, since we had initially told the owner of the safari company that the communication and attitude of a safari guide was of the utmost...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend decided to do a safari in between two hikes in Himalaya. After a long research online we decided to give our trust to this company, and we didn’t regret it at all. We are glad our final choice was The Chitwan Jungle Guides. They’ve been extremely nice and professional since the beginning. We opted for a 5 days 4 nights experience, with a private guide and private excursions. Our guide was Narayan, a great guide and amazing person who has been working in Chitwan for more than 20 years. He knows all the birds and can recognise them by their sound. We spotted a lot of crocs, deers, rhinos, few elephants and traces of bears and tiger; unfortunately we weren’t able to see those last two, but we’ve been told in advance that December was the best season to spot those kind of animals. We had one night booked in a tower in the jungle, that was epic epic. Overall it’s been an extremely great tour, we lived properly a safari experience with experts, we’ve been safe and instructed to proper behaviour in a wild environment. That was great to see a huge respect for the nature and the wildlife from the guides. We highly suggest to book with this company, and if you can ask for Narayan as your guide you’ll be very satisfied. Good...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience with Crazy Tigers Trekking! We did the 3 day / 2 night experience with the night in the jungle tower. From start to finish, it was extremely well organized and we would highly recommend.
Accommodations - Hotel Flycatcher was very comfortable, great fast wifi in all areas, hot shower, delicious meals, and a very friendly dog on site :).
Guide - our guide, Anish, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He answered our many questions, and helped made our experience memorable every step of the way.
Animals - we saw many rhinos, including one close encounter of a rhino fight on our walking tour, saw a tiger from the jeep tour, many monkeys, countless birds and deer, some buffalo.
Not only was this one of the best priced tours we found, it also had incredible service. Thank you Rajendra for...
