I was released from hospital a few days earlier and am still fairly weak but I was happy to at least be able to take a small stroll through our neighourhood. While my husband bought some stuff at the supermarket next door I, getting predictably tired, sat down outside at Chantilly on Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam , where at least 4 seats were unoccupied. A woman from Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam approached me with a menu, after wihch I explained that I just wanted to sit down for a few minutes, waiting for my husband's return and be on my way.
I was brutally sent away at Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam, the woman yelling: "just want to sit down for a few minutes ? None of my bussiness, go away" "I pay 2000 euro's for this" (as if I am responsible for her utter inability to run a their bussiness Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam).
Do Not Go to Chantilly at Molukkenstraat 53 in Amsterdam, unless you want you want to be associated with the worst anti-social grifters.
Blijf weg bij Chantilly aan de Molukkenstraat 53. Het vriendelijke image is schone schijn. Daarachter gaan schaamteloze geldwolven schuil zonder ook maar een greintje fatsoen.

Read moreI recently visited Cafe Chantilly and my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a non-welcoming staff member who handed me the menu without any enthusiasm. When I placed my order for a latte and a chocolate-filled croissant, I was met with a rushed and uninterested attitude.
To my disappointment, the coffee I received was the worst I had ever had in Amsterdam. Even the coffee from local convenience stores was better than this. The latte was scorching HOT and unbearable to touch, making it impossible to enjoy.
As for the croissant, it was nothing special and lacked any filling. Instead, I was given a cold pack of chocolate on the side. It was clear that the croissant had been sitting out for some time.
In short, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff were uninterested and unaccommodating, the coffee was subpar and the croissant was unappetizing. Save yourself time and money and visit the coffee shop on the opposite side of the street for a proper quality cup of coffee. One star is too generous for this...
Read moreIt's hard for me to believe that this place actually have a good reviews. My experience was awful. I have been this midday having a pancake with my friend and the woman was a little bit rude in the first place. She didn't pay attention about what I want and they took 25min the serve hour food and when she did she gave to my friend my plate and a plate of my friend to me so when I asked her she put her hands in the plate of my friend and she gave me from the other plate the nutella I was asking for. I asked her please don't touch hour plates with her hands and my friend and me we change the plates. After when I was eating I found a hair and when we asked she shout to me and she said:It's yours!, so I just didn't want to say anything but I am really sad and disappointed because dutch people here are nice and helpful but this was the exception. They charge me 10€ for the pancake wich I am even eat and they where quite rude....
