Singelpark in Leiden is relatively new as a city park. Its construction began in 2014 near Lammerpark, but some parts are still under construction. It's a beautifully decorated park where you can enjoy your morning and evening walks.

Hier moet je een keer een rondje doen. Er is veel moois te zien, borders met bloemen en vooral de prachtige eeuwenoude bomen zijn een lust voor het oog. Veel interessante historische gebouwen zoals de Morspoort en planetarium, en natuurlijk niet de hortus overslaan. Verder is er genoeg horeca onderweg om je aan te laven. De route is goed gemarkeerd en dus makkelijk te volgen.

Nou, je hebt het nogal hoog in je bol zitten als je dit het langste park van Nederland noemt. Een drukke straat met een rij bomen heet een laan, geen park. Als ik 2 km. van de 6,nog wat door een park heb gelopen, is het veel. Saai en veel omleidingen/werkzaamheden. De route bij de wegopbrekingen is onduidelijk, waardoor je verdwaalt in een doolhof van steegjes. Het idee is leuk, maar het is nog veel te vroeg om je nu al te profileren met "het langste park...

Vandaag (zondag 24 augustus) de Singelpark route gelopen. Echt een hele leuke route vol met bezienswaardigheden, mooie parken en leuke terrassen. De mooie bloembakken hingen er prachtig bij. Het was een prachtige zonnige dag, daardoor een gezellige sfeer door de volle terrassen, bootjes door de singels en de vele mensen liggend en wandelend door de parken. Bij de Meelfabriek en het Energiepark zijn ze nog bezig om er iets moois van te...
