Beachclub Titus — Attraction in The Hague

We are customers of Titus for some years now, lunches, dinners, events, parties... Place very nice, food good as well. Till yesterday we had always positive experience with the service as well. Unfortunately, worst experience ever with the restaurant service in NL we experienced yesterday during our family lunch. Disorganised, impolite and rude waiters have been serving us, or better we expected to be served but they were just not willing to. All possible excuses to don’t receive the service at their beach lounge set even if customers next to us were treated normally by waitresses, same way like customers sitting on the terrace. When I received my drinks order, that I had to order inside and wait at the door for (not mentioning again bad organisation within the team), highlighting that I ordered and paid for large beer and cocktail that is always served by them with bottle of its own soft drink, waiter started to scream on me, instead of explaining difference of serving drinks on terrace and the beach, just to mention I am very visibly pregnant. If we ever will return back, we will make sure not the same waiters are in the service. Very unpleasant experience during our day off that was supposed to be relaxing and quite. After such a long time that the restaurants have been closed a warm welcome would be expected, instead we felt not...

I liked this place. I simply think the owner has a strong vision of what he wants to achieve. And he has a strong team that delivers.

Really nice food: real Italian pizza from a stone owen (nice Napolitan crust), high standard even compered to Italy. I had one with truffle. Their salads are the kind you come back for. And we did, two days in a row.

The interior, design and ambience is stylish yet relaxed. Not hysterically fun, too fashionable or cheesy Caribbean like the beach tents often are. The music both cool and chill, had me setting Shazam in automode.

Really friendly attentive staff, that makes you feel important to them.

All in all a place to recommend. A favorite. Why not five stars? Nothing wrong here, I just save the last star for the Michelin...

Personal: freundlich junges zuvorkommendes Personal. Manchmal unbeholfen und unprofessionell. Aber wenn man nach einer 1 Liter Colaflasche, anstelle von Gläsern mit 20 Eiswürfeln und 0.001ml Cola fragt, kommt die Antwort :" das geht nicht, das sieht auf ein Foto nicht gut aus" an einer Hochzeitsfeier mit Getränkepauschale bei 32 Grad Celsius da geht mir der Hut hoch!! I h möchte nicht 125x mal Cola holen gehen, wo das Glas 2 oder 3 Euro kostet!! Armes Traupaar das die Rechnung zahlen muss! Das tut mir in der Seele weh sowas zu sehen als jemand vom Fach! Tolle Location aber zum Thema Buchungen einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft stelle ich mal ein paar Fragen: Abrechnung Getränke nach Kommission oder nach nicht geführter Strichliste?? Personal trinkt munter mit? Es wurde ein BBQ angeboten mit Fertig Kipspieße vom Grill ?! Pulled Pork ohne den Grill gesehen zu haben?! Burgerbuletten?! Trockenes etwas vom Rind?? Aber nicht vom Grill. Unter ein BBQ stellt man sich ein Grill vor mit diversen marinierten Fleischsorten im ROHEN Zustand, das von einem Koch gegrillt wird. Kein bereits fertiges Conveinienceprodukt. Leider kein Nachservice nachdem die ersten 30 Min rum waren! Weg ist weg. Eiswagen, wo war das Eis in dem Behälter des Wagens und gibt es noch kleinere Eisportionierer als die von Lego?? Es wurden Snacks am Abend stündlich gereicht: Mini Sandwiches, Kleine Fertighäppchen, frittierte Bitterballen und andere Hollandspezialitäten, aber wo bitte sind die ganzen Platten und Teller hingekommen nachdem diese vom Personal an die Gäste gereicht wurden??? Hat kein Gast gesehen, außer die am Anfang gereichten Sandwiches. Was da wohl berechnet wird, Interessant! Und wer hat das alles gegessen? Der DJ hat seine eigene Playlist durchgezogen, hier und da mal ein Wunsch eines Gastes, aber Holländische Musik oder Stilrichtung muss man als deutscher Gast nicht immer hören. Sonst eine tolle Location die trotz dieser Rezession leider so weitermachen wird! Das Geld kommt jeden Sommer sowieso, da direkt am Strand gelegen. Danke liebes Personal für die...
