Pavarotti Kijkduin — Restaurant in The Hague

I’m writing to express my disappointment with the service during my recent visit. When I made my reservation, I specifically requested an outdoor table with couch seating and noted this politely in the online booking. Upon arrival, I asked two members of staff if we could sit at one of the shaded corner tables that were clearly unoccupied. I was told those tables were reserved for parties of four or more. However, shortly after we were seated, we saw those exact tables given to couples and groups of two—which directly contradicted what we were told. That was both frustrating and unfair.

In addition, the overall service was slow and inattentive, despite there being at least 6 to 10 staff visibly present. We had to wait an unnecessarily long time just to have our food order taken.

To make matters worse, while the main course dishes are still our table , dessert was brought out without our dinner plates even being cleared. We had to ask for them to be removed, and only one plate (which we had requested to be packed) was taken, while the dirty plate remained on the table. It could have easily been cleared at the same time.

This experience fell far below reasonable expectations. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure better service and customer consideration...

We typically look for restaurants that are not chains or have multiple locations, but while craving a seafood pasta(pasta vongole)this was the only restaurant within a 20 km drive that had it on the menu.

After self ordering drinks via QR code(they looked to be short staffed) we were told by the waitress that the seafood pasta was no longer offered and was not sure why it was still on the menu, especially since it had not been offered for quite sometime. Of course I was disappointed, but was hungry. We both ordered a different pasta and both had zero flavor. As I looked at the other tables I saw half finished plates.

Not sure if it was an off-night for the kitchen, but be aware that the high star rating might be tied to the ice cream parlor and not the restaurant itself. We will certainly avoid it...

Food choice rather basic, rather pizzeria, not restaurant in terms of choice. Prices rather high for the quality of food offered. Burger bad, clams pasta with just a dozen of clams and lots of pasta for 23 eur. Service as poor as it gets - brought desserts without cleaning the table full of dirty dishes from the main course. Never came back to clean. When we took time to clean the dishes ourselves and put them in empty table nearby the waitress came instead of excusing herself by to say we should not have done that. Waited for hours to get the bill as waiters would not be coming at all. All in all - if you want to see dishes - do that but don’t think you are coming to a restaurant in any sense...
