Waiata Reserve — Attraction in Ōrākei

Great place for walks or a run as the reserve runs down the middle of a valley in Remuera. Due to this the entrances are a little concealed off the main roads, especially Orakei road. It also means there are a lot of step trails to negotiate! And even though it has wheelchair parking and access this does make it challenging. The one thing to be aware of is that the local dog owners use it, a lot. As most dogs are not on leads, this is not conducive for little children. Still beautiful and offers a moment of tranquility along with a healthy dose of greenery in the heart of Aucklands...
