Purchased a Bose Acoustic Wave system for $2000 in Nov 2006. Used it about 3 to 4 times a year for a few hours at a time. Pristine condition. LCD screen failed in October 2013. Called Bose Store - "so unusual". Called Bose 0800 number - "not so unusual". Took it in to the Bose Store Newmarket on 8 October. No updates or calls from the store. I called them and was advised of the repair estimate and gave them the go ahead. I also had to chase them every couple of weeks for the status. Same answer every time "we don't know"... Got it back on 21 November and charged $250 for the repair. No explanation why it took so long or why a $2000 "Bose" top of the line component would have a failure after such little use. Arrogant and dismissive attitude by all the staff at the Store. Wouldn't even plug it in to show me it was repaired when I picked it up. Just said "it's back from the service centre so it must be fixed" when I asked to see if it was working. Read moreI cannot recommend Chris and his team at the Sound Store enough. From the moment we stepped into the store, Chris and Nancy greeted us and delivered top level customer service. Chris went that extra mile and more to ensure our newly purchased Bose Lifestyle 650 System was preforming as it should and was always there when ever we had any questions - nothing was ever a problem. His friendly install team Stu & Francis installed our new system to an excellent standard, they took the time to show and teach us more about the system which was greatly appreciated. They also got our old Bose 3:2:1 system back up and working. Top stuff guys!

Read moreI visited this store today to potentially buy a new pair of floorstanding speakers for my latest home theatre setup. Upon entry to the store, I was met by a woman who immediately asked if she could help me. I said I was just browsing for now but I'd ask if I needed any further assistance, rather than acknowledge this, she just stood there staring at me, making me feel uncomfortable to the point where I had to leave the store. I have spent well over $10k on AV and DJ gear this year, my latest purchase being a high end Denon AV receiver, to which I was potentially going to marry a pair of Kef floorstanders that I liked the look of. After this experience though, I won't be bavk, instead, I'll travel further to Rapello instead, they were much more accommodating when I purchased my receiver.
