Absolutely stunning little shop with Anything & Everything Māori you could hope or want for! Could not believe I hadn't been here sooner.. found this place online first & ordered a Tāniko band for kakahu, some bone earrings as a Mother's Day gift + small patu for my baby's photo shoot. Order was ready the same day👌🏾 upon pick up day after is when I realized it's an actual shop.
Whaeas customer service was pleasant & perfect (reminded me of my Nan) she actually growled me cs I'd made a second order for more items early that morning (Mothers Day present for my aunty - which she'd processed within the hour) and when I collected, I didn't leave for another 30minutes because there were so many beautiful things I wanted to get!!
Mostly for the million birthdays we have this year but also for selfish reasons 😅 her words during my 3rd and final transaction (for now) were "ok now you take this bag and go straight out. That's enough" LOL
I appreciate her concern as I was going a bit overboard but only because prices are so reasonable. I told her "it's your fault for having such beautiful things!" Everything is stunning quality.. the Wairua of her shop (and self) felt pure. If her comments were any indication - you can expect to be treated with warmth, respect and the knowledge of a kuia who's seen all & knows all.
Hate to see that our people haven't been as respectful/ kind in return (see her sign) but I hope things improve asap!
My order came in the black greenstone Tiki gift bag (yay)
When I mentioned the earrings were a gift for mum she threw in a small Maori patterned gift bag for Free too! 🥰
Thoroughly impressed and grateful to have AnEye4Art local to us..will be back and sending all whānau & friends here from...
Read moreSo appalled with the way I was spoken to yesterday! Ordered and paid for a taiaha however, the carving looked a bit off(was told it was a grain in the wood) but it genuinely looked like the carver had messed it up so I asked for a replacement as it is a 21st gift. Went to pick up the replacement and was given a whole lecture about how that's how wood is, thats how nature is and not everything is perfect, I tried to reply with "understandable but" and didn't even get to finish my sentence before the lady cut me off, looked me in the eyes and told me "no you don't understand" so rudely and in front of another customer. I understand that it may be an inconvenience for your shop but if the customer is not happy with the product, then our wishes for a replacement should be respected and we shouldn't have to deal with being lectured and feeling diminished. I also looked at the wood pieces that were in the shop and none of them seemed to have "grains" in them. I loved the product but the way I was spoken to was so appalling which has put me off purchasing from this store ever again. Please respect...
Read moreI have been buying from this beautiful place for many years, and not once I have I ever been let down when it comes to the quality of the products/items . I hope to continue to purchase the taonga offered here for many years more HOWEVER .... recently purchased a korowai which my mother picked up on my behalf .... some older lady was rude to my mother and didn't acknowledge her, handed her the korowai and shut the door in her face . Not happy bout that ... its not the first time ive had issues with the customer service here .... training on customer service would be beneficial for ANY business . Such a great shop would be a shame to have that as...
