I recently moved to Christchurch and, as a hospitality professional, I’m eager to explore the local culinary scene. With high expectations, I placed an order at Adipoli South Indian, hoping to enjoy a delightful meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I felt compelled to share this feedback with you.
Here’s a breakdown of my order and the issues I encountered:
Adipoli Chicken 65: The dish was predominantly bones with very little meat, which was quite disappointing. Kerala Prawns Fry: I received only six pieces, and they were soggy, lacking the crispiness one would expect. Gobi 65: The portion size was unexpectedly small, with pieces so tiny they seemed more like an attempt at cost-cutting. Family Chicken Biryani: As a Hyderabadi, I know the essence of a good biryani, and this dish did not meet those standards. The addition of raisins was particularly off-putting, making it taste more like a sweet chicken pulao rather than a biryani.
Spending $120 on this meal, I expected a much higher quality of food. The experience was disappointing, and I urge the chef or owners to reconsider the presentation and promotion of these dishes, especially the biryani.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe in the potential of your restaurant to deliver authentic and satisfying South...
Read moreAdipoli Kitchen did a fantastic job catering for the baby shower. The spread was diverse, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options that pleased everyone.
The chicken roast was the star of the meal- It was juicy, tender, and seasoned just right with a blend of spices that made it irresistible.
The mango curry added a refreshing sweetness that paired wonderfully with the other dishes. Its balance of tangy and sweet flavors was spot-on, making it a delightful accompaniment to the rice.
The cabbage thoran was well-prepared, offering a simple yet satisfying flavor. The subtle seasoning allowed the natural taste of the cabbage to shine through, making it a perfect option for vegetarians.
Lastly, the pineapple pachadi was a unique and enjoyable dish. The pineapple's sweetness was balanced with just the right amount of spice, creating a memorable flavor combination that rounded off the meal beautifully.
Overall, the meal was well-executed with attention to detail in flavor and presentation. The variety of dishes offered something for everyone, and the food played a big part in making the baby shower a...
Read moreI recently ordered food from Adipoli Take Away, hoping to enjoy a delicious meal of squid roast and parotta. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The taste of the food was so bad that it didn't even resemble squid roast.
On a previous occasion, I had ordered their beef curry, and the outcome was equally disappointing.
The squid roast, which should have been a flavorful and aromatic dish, lacked any discernible taste or essence of the ingredients. The squid itself seemed overcooked and rubbery, lacking the succulent tenderness that a well-prepared squid roast should possess. The flavors were completely off, and it was evident that the dish had not been prepared well
the parotta, which is a staple accompaniment to many Indian dishes, was a letdown as well. It was dry and lacked the fluffy texture that makes it so enjoyable to eat. It almost felt like it had been reheated multiple times, resulting in a stale and...
