The Lotus-Heart is an exceptional establishment in Christchurch, which includes a vegetarian restaurant, gift shop, and health food store. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I appreciated the restaurant's commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, which was evident in everything from the eco-friendly packaging to the fair-trade coffee and tea. The restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a satisfying and sustainable vegetarian dining experience.

The gift shop at The Lotus-Heart is a delightful addition to the establishment, offering a carefully curated selection of unique and beautiful gifts made by local artists and artisans. I was impressed by the shop's commitment to sustainability, with many items made from eco-friendly and recycled materials. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and I found the perfect gift for a friend.

The health food store is another gem at The Lotus-Heart, providing a range of organic and natural foods, supplements, and personal care products to support healthy living. The store stocks a wide variety of locally-sourced, organic produce, including fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains. They also have a range of gluten-free products, herbal teas, and spices available. The store offers a selection of nutritional supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal remedies to support a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, they offer a range of personal care products that are free from harmful chemicals and toxins.

Overall, The Lotus-Heart is a must-visit establishment for anyone looking for a satisfying and sustainable vegetarian dining experience, unique and sustainable gifts, or natural and organic food and personal care products. The establishment's commitment to sustainability and ethical practices is evident in everything they do, and it's no wonder that they have become a beloved institution in...

Having been a regular patron of the Lotus Heart for the past 18 months, it feels fitting to share my thoughts on the overall experience, encompassing not only the delightful dining & shopping encounters but also the abundant love and warmth consistency expressed.

My go-to-favourites, the Masala coffee, Curry, and Dosa, all within an affordable price range, have become somewhat of a running joke during my visits. Regardless of the weather or time of day, I tend to gravitate towards these choices, the unwavering quality and taste is commendable considering the diverse options available on the menu.

Adjacent to the restaurant, the accompanying shop boasts an eclectic mix of health products and spiritual merchandise, with a hidden gem – a music shop – tucked away around the corner. Most of my Christmas purchases found a home from this unique space.

This establishment goes beyond conventional boundaries, embodying a vibrant community rather than a mere restaurant environment. Also on offer is a variety of classes, including meditations, workshops with the occasional Pop-Up Market on weekends. The heart-centered focus and self-less service are openly expressed, contributing to the dedicated patronage evident membership base. I take pride in being part of this...

I have been to the lotus heart a few times before for lunch and always had wonderful food especially the nachos and good friendly service. This time I went for breakfast , our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I couldn’t decide what to eat so I asked what they recommend and said I felt like something savoury ... I was recommended to have the crepes! So I yes I would try them! The waiter said “I’ll get you guys some water” 40 minutes later , still no water or food or drinks.. then finally the food arrived , we were the only people in the restaurant!! Me and my friend also ordered drinks which came out after the food?! Along side our water!? Not sure what was happening behind the kitchen ... was told “sorry all the orders have been coming in at the same time” to top it off my crepe was dry and taste less, I struggled to eat it. I was very disappointed :( the waiter was very friendly and did apologise which we...

A little gem of a place, everything on the menu is delicious, and all vegetarian with a lot of vegan friendly options too. A wide selection of teas, juices, smoothies, and of course coffee. A very relaxing place to go for breakfast or lunch. Worth booking in advance though because it is usually abuzz with people. There is also a boutique health shop with plenty of giftworthy items and a very unique music shop full with an assortment of instruments, some of which I have never seen before. Well worth a look! Friendly helpful staff throughout make this a very welcoming place. There are also meditation classes and a spiritual side to the place, but you don't have to be interested in a spiritual journey to enjoy their great selection of fresh healthy food!

Went here on a Friday for dinner. The restaurant is aesthetically designed and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was serene, thanks to the theme. The menu had interesting vegetarian/vegan dishes from different cuisines (mainly Indian). Staff were very courteous. Rarely have I seen a restaurant that went all out to ensure that customers were happy with the dishes served. When one of the customers was not satisfied with the dish, the chef from the kitchen personally came to the table and enquired about the problem. They even offered to not charge for the dish. Had nachos and found it to be really good. They also have a shop adjacent to the restaurant within their premises. Highly recommended if you are into vegetarian/vegan food!
