This store has really good wheel chair access, with a wide and open layout, where the aisles aren't too narrow.
Standard operating hours from 9am to 6pm, Great late nights on Thurs and Fri from 9am till 9pm. Open late on days like Boxing day etc for sales as well, usually until 7pm, but check Google for correct & updated operating hours daily.
Quite a good mall to shop at Farmers, as it's a medium sized mall where the store is closer than usual to other big chain stores, as well as a great food court nearby with everything you need that's not too far away, a note for those with a disability, like I have, where walking long distances is not ideal. I make this specific point as some malls e.g. Albany, Westgate etc, are huge! Meaning ALOT of walking, which for those of us with a disability can seem like a marathon feat to get from one end of the mall to the other!!
This Farmers is quite a well stocked store, where the shop assistants are friendly. Not all of the assistants are that knowledgeable however, as I discovered this particular visit, so you do have to go hunting if you need to find something, I'd recommend that you allow some extra time if you haven't been to this particular store before.
I love going here for the great selection of high quality ranges of garments both female and male. In particular I love buying for my Husband, quite a selection to choose from in their range of pure, fine merino tops, jackets and jumpers. I love the quality selection of buy 2 for 1 chino's, tee's and shirts. I've also found some great linen wear for both female and male. Lingerie not so much but it's still a decent variety with quality brands.
All up, overall a pleasant visit! I got what I came for and a few extras shopping for my Hubby again! Haha...
Read moreOne thing that consistently this store excels in is bad service. I've experienced this multiple times over the years. The worst is always displayed by their Store Managers. Here's an example: came into the store to pick up close to $400 of click and collect items. I took the opportunity to exchange a couple of baby outfits to larger sizes. We received both as presents. One had a gift exchange card and the other didn't. The first gift was exchanged without any issues. The second gift without the receipt encountered issues. The friendly check out operator couldn't help so called the Store Manager. And as predicted out comes the great customer service I consistently get from these Store Managers. She was rude and made me feel like a thief. For about 10 minutes, I was asked where I got it, who gave it to me. The price of the item was around $12. I was really close to asking for a refund on the nearly $400 of other purchases. In the age of online shopping, I ask myself why I bother go into stores like this and deal with rude staff. Needless to say I will refrain from purchasing from Farmers and presently vetos my wife when she tries to purchase from Farmers both...
Read moreI went to the Revlon counter looking for a lip colour. I'm not great with make up so was hoping for some advice. There were 3 staff members hanging around the counter and not one of them greeted me. 2 of them ended up leaving and the 3rd one still didn't acknowledge me. I asked for a tissue as i was testing different colours on my hand. The staff member pointed to where the tissues were. I then asked about a colour that looked to be missing and she guided me to where the full range of colours were. I asked if this was her counter as she was not forthcoming with service, and she said yes. I then asked for advice on how to pick an everyday lip colour. She was helpful at this point. that's as far as the help went. I was shopping with 2 small kids in tow so for me it's important to get what i need quickly as their patience is not as good as mine. There's lots of room for improvement...
