Taste & Texture Broth: Warm and comforting, but on the saltier side. A good pho broth usually balances saltiness with aromatic spices like star anise, cinnamon, and charred onion, so the salt being more prominent throws off that balance a bit. Beef: The mix of bone-in beef and slices makes it satisfying — both for flavour and presentation. The meat softens nicely in the hot broth, adding body to the soup. Overall: It hits the spot for warmth and comfort, but the saltiness overshadows some of the subtle spices pho is known for. Portion & Value At $35.9, it’s definitely on the premium side for pho. The portion size and stone-bowl gimmick make it feel more like a specialty dish than an everyday pho order. You’re paying for both the drama and the size here, it could easily feed two people. Egg coffee was a so-so attempt. The strong coffee was the saving grace, but the egg foam was too eggy and too sweet, leaving the whole drink feeling unbalanced. Compared to the authentic versions in Vietnam, this fell flat. Verdict A decent, hearty pho experience warm, filling, and impressive to look at. The broth leaned too salty for balance, but the portion makes it feel worth trying at least once. More a “special occasion pho” than your go-to weekly fix. Egg coffee was a disappointment ⭐ Taste: 6/10 ⭐ Portion: 9/10 ⭐ Presentation: 9/10 ⭐ Value: 7/10

I'm so glad I agreed to come here with my wife to get her pho fix because their flamable beef pho and pork belly bun cha were literally the best versions of these dishes that I've tried to date. Going back for seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths and more of just the pho broth is something nobody including me would have ever expected but the smokey flavour was incredible for pho. Similarly, I would have been happy eating the pork belly bun cha alone, no need for the noodles or sides because it too had a really unique flavour. I honestly was never one to go out of my way for Vietnamese but knowing what Viki offers now means I'll gladly go next time it's suggested. And I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about the simple yet effective atmosphere. Stepping inside was cool, pleasant, and felt like I was transported somewhere near the sea even though it was just a parking lot on either side; I can't explain it but I kept expecting to look out the window near their indoor tree and see waves. The music was chill, gentle instrumental covers of famous pop songs, and overall it felt like a peaceful place to be.

Am a chef and a foodie but NEVER EVER left a review just because :) Unfortunately this one CAUGHT a bit of attention from way too OVERPRICED for what its worth :) Whatever sparked here before that earned their 5* has now FAR gone. Got the “Charcoal grilled Chicken”, but NO charcoal, NO grilled, ONLY deep fried (don’t even ask about the lemongrass nor the sauce) and the chicken itself wasn’t FRESH at all. “Bún Bò Huế” with the “traditional flavors” were NO WHERE to be found; could not be more bland, tasted like extra salted days OLD soup, over cooked noodles with gross lemon wedges. Felt like all the ingredients were just sitting in the fridge for days and hoping to GET somebody. Half of hour drive and ~$60 for the worst experience I’ve had! With $60 in Auckland, go elsewhere folks :) P/s: Btw, I’m the Vietnamese, and I just got here. First time here!

Had the worst experience dining here. I’ve never written an review in my whole life but the experience was so bad that I decided to write a review.

First, we walked in and the staff saw us but blatantly ignored our presence. After some time, we had to stop a staff member and ask for a table for two. After the staff showed us to the table, they did not give us a menu. After 5-10 minutes, I had to ask for menu from another staff member. Then after literally 10 seconds, a waitress came and said are you ready to order? -_-

After ordering, we asked for tap water, then the waitress didn’t understand us so i had to repeat could we please get some tap water several times. Our food came but no water. I asked the same waitress for some tap water and two bowls. She brought us bowls but she still didn’t bring us water. I could see the waitress served other customers instead.

Then after asking once again, she finally brought us water. We then asked for some fresh chopped chili for our pho from the same waitress.

We were almost done with the food at this point and the waiter/ waitress never bother to look at our table/ other customers’ table and just continually walked around the restaurant so it was quite hard to get their attention. I can see other customers were also trying to get their attention. As we were halfway through our pho i ended up walking to the area in front of the kitchen and asked the same waitress if our chopped chili is coming and she admitted that she has forgotten.

She then brought a whole unchopped chili. I asked her if we can have it chopped so we can add it to our pho.

Nothing came after 10 mins and i already lost appetite from the poor service so i decided to pay. We never got the chopped chili. We complained to the staff that was on the till and he was very defensive saying well we just opened.. we told him that we had asked for water and it was quite hard to even just get water. He said that the water is actually self service. So i said, if that’s the case, she should have told us. Anyway at this point, we were quite upset, we paid and walked out.

I don’t usually complain on social media but the way they dealt with my complaint and was very defensive about it made me want to write this review. I sincerely hope that you won’t experience the same experience...

Came back with my parents after a decent first visit, hoping they'd enjoy it too. We ordered three dishes: their signature stonepot pho, bun cha for me, and chicken pho for my mom. We specifically asked for everything to be less salty due to health reasons.

After about 20 minutes, only my mom’s chicken pho arrived. Another 10 minutes later, my bun cha came out. As for the stonepot pho — they only brought out the raw meat and noodles, but no stonepot. We expected it to follow quickly, but after waiting another 30 minutes, still nothing.

Turns out they completely forgot the stonepot. Meanwhile, the raw meat had just been sitting on the table the entire time. We also found out — only after asking — that they had run out of oily sticks, which normally come with the dish. No one informed us at the time we ordered.

Staff apologized and offered 15% off the dish, and eventually 10% off the bill after we explained we had waited over an hour for the dish to be completed. Even worse, despite our request, the food was still too salty.

Very disappointed with the service and overall experience. Won’t be...
