More than colour nails and beauty — Attraction in Kaipātiki

I would never make a bad review on anything ever as its not in my character but out of safety for others i’m just gonna share this… 3 months ago i went to this salon hoping to get a simple GelX on my natural nails. I was then sat in a chair for 2 hours with non-stop drilling to my nails to the point where i was shaking and sweating as the nail tech had COMPLETELY ruined my nails, they sent a hole through one of my nails and after flinching in pain and saying “ i’m sorry that really hurts” nothing was done and she proceded to continue drilling into the damage which gave me extreme anxiety as i couldn't leave and everytime i would flinch from literal blood forming under my nail bed she would say “Oops”. The damage to my nails was so severe it’s 3 months later and it still hasn't healed. They also gave me the complete wrong colour and i was in throbbing pain for about 2 weeks.

I have been getting my nails done for 10 years now and have never had such a terrible experience. I now have crazy anxiety going to other salons and usually start shaking from the way this affected me.

I went in with my boyfriend to try get a refund and was blasted in front of the entire salon being refused a refund for the damage and ended up with only a pissy $30 refund after having to speak to multiple people for days on end and holes in my nails which could easily lead to infections.

A few of the other ladies that tried to held the situation where really kind though so no fault to them I just had a terrible experience with the woman I got and also the boss.

Just try be careful...

I have been skeptical of nail salons for years! Not being able to justify the price for the service and longevity of the nails. I have always had SNS dipping powder with my nails and normally they would only last me 2 weeks max. I went here for the first time with the same expectation cause hell i was having a bad day and i needed a pick me up! To my surprise they were efficient and sooo attentive to my nails and in doing so my nails lasted a whopping 7 WEEKS! Yes they were very long after 7 weeks but there were no chips and no breakages even though i work in customer service with lots of paperwork AND COMPUTER WORK on a daily basis. On top of that, I have a very active 2 year old son who is not toilet trained yet so i change his nappies ALOT. When i was finally able to come back and get a new set after 7 weeks, i managed to get 5 weeks out of them! I say great 12 weeks value for money for Meeeeeeeeee!!! Less than $11 per week! I could live with that on a tight budget for a little self love and care! Coming in today with a friend to share the experience with and i have no doubt I will have a similar outcome especially since I need my nails to last a trip overseas ❤️🫶🙏🏼😏 see you soon ladies!!!! Hoping to experience the same the past two times i have been so i can keep coming back for more in the long...

This place is shocking, if 0 was a rating it be too good a negative rating would be more suited. My son for my birthday wanted me to be pampered my birthday late April and we visited in May 2024 this extremely unprofessional the baddest service to be honest calling it service is a joke. THIS is the worst experience ive ever ive had at a nail salon, the technician rough, made my toes bleed, I had to cut my own toe nails, when I was asking questions they were not answered they just talk to eachother in their language and you are ignored. The wairua of the technician was off very bad vibes i couldnt handle her touching me in the end i asked for someone else and told her, her wairua is off, i want a refund, pointless cause you are ignored. I felt unsafe lucky my moko, daughter and daughter in law were with me. I returned to my sons who made dinner for me and asked how was it mum, I didn't have the heart to tell him what really happened. I WILL NEVER RETURN... I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I'm going to lay a complaint with Auckland Council this place is supposed to offer a pampering service. I felt unsafe, they have tools and reading other reviews they cut...
