Quick climb it’s up and down. Cool views for quick walk. Park at bottom, clean shoes, unlock gate, walk straight come to a sign saying to SUMMIT and you are there. 15mins up or less. Just a bench up there. Blue painted panels must be the walk up and the yellow painted must be the farm walk around. Will try another time the farm way. Easy with kids (3, 5, 9) Never knew we were allowed up here and first time up and I grew up in the area.

Great park, very close to central Auckland. Visited this place a couple of times, also went for a bike ride here. Nice to have a place so close to sylvia park and Onehunga industrial areas. Good views from the summit however not as great as Mt Eden or one tree hill, which isn't such a bad thing as not people people visit here, so it's very relaxing and quite. The cows roam freely so be sure to close any gate you open.

A rugged park with parts in bush and parts in pasture which is grazed by sheep. The trees were largely planted in 97 - it's not old growth but it is a quality restoration project. The park is not usually heavily used as it isn't neighbouring any residential areas. Great place to experience some space, enjoy the views, and get windswept.

I have seen this hill/area in passing since forever, but never realised it's an actual park until recently. It's mostly farmland, with a reasonable patch of forest inside. There are marked tracks and a great view from the top. I met quite a few dog walkers on the trail, but bear in mind there are farm animals as well.

Walk with cows and sheep. You need to open and close gates. Paths are not clear so walk with caution as you walk through the bush. The path i took, took me to a fence with no option but to jump the fence into private property. I wasn't going to walk all the way back.

Oh what a treat to escape to the country within the city. The skyline was all aflame at sunset and the quaint bush walks transported me out of the hustle and bustle for a moment. Just lovely for a mid week after work wind down.
