We asked to be seated and were given drink and food menu. We were not given any further instructions. We took out seat and waited 30minutes and had still not been served! I went to the bar and asked if someone would come to our table and take our order and was told I’d need to place the drink and food orders there at the bar, which I did.

I ordered 2 bottles of wine; 2 cocktails and a snack… $140+ dollars. Then I was told I needed to pay immediately or I would need to leave a credit card and ID. So, back to my table I go to fetch both requirements and leave it at the bar so a tab could be opened.

Drinks arrive, entree arrives and my Aunt and I are happy.

The wait guy who served our drinks was excellent and on par with the customer serviced expected from such establishment.

After 30mins, a lovely girl clears our dishes. After 20minutes, Charlotte asks if we are ok or need anything else, I said “I thought table service wasn’t available, if we needed anything we needed to order at the bar”? she said, we offer table service because you now have a tab! Ok, I say, it would have been helpful if we had known that from when we entered. And Off she goes.

An hour passes, no one checks on us. I think, stuff this, we’ll go elsewhere to eat and drink.

I retrieve my card and ID pay the bill and pick up a card with info on how to leave a review and read “if a 5star review is left for a staff member they will be rewarded $10” I ask Charlotte, the cashier, why do the wait staff not make any effort in giving their best service to their customers if they get positive feedback and receive $10 bonus” She justified the lack of service by saying, I was going to come to you but…. I said, but you never did and we have been here for going on 2 hours. Then she said someone else was assigned to our designated area. Well, who was that? No one ever came to our table. Infact I saw one other wait staff serving in the opposite side.

I took me receipt and she said, have a nice day! Well, I don’t think so. There is nothing nice about entering an establishment and leaving disappointed because of lack of care and instructions and service. We spent $150 on drinks for 2 and 1 snack!

I left with a sour taste in my mouth and went to the restaurant opposite and spent a further $423.00 plus $100 tip! And the line to enter went as far back as Coffee Club.

That’s got to tell you something!

I own a few restaurants overseas and we never EVER leave our customers waiting, feeling hungry and waiting and waiting with empty glasses!

Garrisons was great at one time. The quality in service has declined immensely!
