Goode Brothers — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

We visited this restaurant and placed a full order — entrées and mains. After 45 minutes, we were still sitting with absolutely nothing on our table. No food, no updates, no explanation. Meanwhile, several other tables that arrived after us were already being served.

Eventually, we asked a staff member what was happening. Their response? There’s no order in the system. That’s right, our entire order had been completely forgotten.

This is not just a small error. It’s a serious failure in basic service standards. No one checked in on us, no one noticed the delay, and no one took responsibility until we asked.

To make matters worse, we had a young child with us who was clearly hungry and becoming increasingly distressed. The lack of awareness and empathy shown by the staff made the experience even more unacceptable.

We left extremely disappointed and with zero confidence in the professionalism of this establishment. I don’t write reviews often, but this level of service demanded honest feedback. I would strongly caution others before...

Even though the cashier was busy with customers when we walked in, he acknowledged us straight away and got another waiter to seat us which was refreshing! (At a lot of other restaurants we usually get ignored for a while before staff notices we're there) Menus, and water was promptly served to us, and orders were taken without us having to flag wait staff down, they were extremely attentive and friendly, not to mention the food was super fresh, delicious, and you could get as much parmesan as you wanted on your pizza ha! Sahil our waiter was efficient, super friendly and accomodating and I couldn't fault one thing about our experience dining here tonight. Super impressed by all your amazing staff and the wonderful food, as it's a rarity to have such a memorable experience dining out these days. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others!...

It was great! We went for my birthday and what a time we had vibes were great waitresses were absolute legends. Food was very tasty we ordered the flamed pork and wagyu meatballs pasta and the lady brought it over to us and prepped it to get flamed then when she flamed it, it worked perfectly then as my dad recalls wind blew and the fire blew towards him, giving a fright. She was super caring though and very positive about it. Manager guy came and checked on him and we all ha d a good laugh. Overall had a great time and would recommend for anyone. The fire situation was not har fault a little accident that had no harm. Staff were so nice. Bigs ups to manager guy and Charlotte our waitress you guys were the BEST! Pay Rise???? 67
