Royal Kebab , Royal Oak — Attraction in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

The first time I came here a few weeks ago so couldn’t buy cause she doesn’t have eftpos ready for payWave or credit card, so I just left. Today I went to the ATM exclusively to buy a chicken on rice so I paid her cash. I gave her a $20 note and then I took a drink from the fridge (17.50+2.50=20) and she didn’t give me any cash back when I gave her the note so I thought that we both understood that we are even steven. When I finally got my meal I was a bit annoyed, was so small, all kebabs shops give you loads of salad and chicken, this one had one bloody slice of tomato! Yes! One!!!! Unreal, taste was okay, but the whole experience at that point was disappointing without adding that she complained the whole time when I kindly mentioned she maybe could get payWave for eftpos the machine so she doesn’t keep losing customers for this, as she lost 4 clients while I was there for that reason. That’s not the end, when I finished my meal and I walked out I hear someone yelling at me saying I didn’t pay the drink, walked back and I told her that she didn’t give me any money back so $20 paid for the drink and the meal, she sort of argue and asked me “are you sure?” I said YES IM SURE and walked away. Just don’t bother and don’t go here, nobody is missing...

I went to here about 2 weeks ago and it was just awful. I had specifically order extra meat and the lamb on rice. I waited patiently for about 15 mins and I was happy to do so. The person than decided to pass me a roll. When I had already said no vegetables. It’s common sense that when a person said “only meat and extra meat and no vegetables” it means they want it on rice, like who will have a wrap and not have vegetables in it. Very disappointed. Have been to this kebab place a lot of times but I was very disappointed at the service. No receipt I had to go back and get it again and importantly no apologies or genuine effort...

I asked for double meat (lamb) and double cheese.. $22? . Ok.. I’m thinking it better be good.. but when I ate it.. there seemed to have no cheese at all.. I love my cheese, and know that cheese will always compliment my meal. But it wasn’t there. So I approached the staff member about my concern and was greeted only with an argument because they had to be right.
