Anderson Park Playground — Attraction in Napier

A fantastic free family destination for all ages! If you visit Napier this is a must see and hands down the best designed Park I've ever seen in New Zealand. There is high quality playground equipment for ALL ages and abilities, a splash pad area, a water play area, flying fox, musical equipment, volleyball Court, basketball court, skate park, a natural creek, dog areas, bbq areas, lots of shade from trees and shade sails, tables and adult seating, and 2 toilet facilities. The playground here is amazing. It has just been remodelled boasting several large slides. Trampolines and spinning discs are always kids favourites. The swing sets have many options with a twin swing, mum and baby swing and a disabled friendly swing with a harness. There is a music area and jungle themed gym are with roao bridges and climbing frames. In summer the splash pad is perfect for cooling off. Great playground, has a flying fox, separate areas for younger and older children, water spray area and picnic tables. Only problem was the majority of the seating for adults is in the direct sun, it's not fenced and there isn't anywhere to safely sit and see the whole playground, so children could play and be seen wherever they went. The slide is really cool but the stairs to climb up to the slide are really low and kids kept hitting their heads as they climb up happened to almost every child I saw go up there. Overall...
