Mee Dee Thai Takeaway — Restaurant in Napier

We ordered off Deliver Easy. Portion size was good and delivery was fast. However, that's where the good experience stops. We ordered roti, massaman curry and a chilli garlic. The roti was overcooked and stale? It lacked flavor and wasn't very tasty. The curry was watery and the rice was gluggy! Now.. the worst experience of the entire meal. The chilli garlic. The egg noodles weren't cooked, and the meal smelt really bad. We ate a little but then decided we couldn't because it was just so bad. And we aren't usually known to waste food or be too picky. Several hours later, my partner gets really, really sick. The culprit? The chilli garlic, as everything else he ate - I ate too and was fine. We paid $60, which is fairly average for Thai food. I ordered crispy duck and the meat just melted in our mouths. The duck came with fresh veges and rice. There was a choice of 2 sauces, I chose the garlic sauce which the owners put in a separate container for us so the duck wouldn't get soggy. Ordered the green curry chicken and it was more like watery soup. Not a nice flavor either. Also ordered chill egg noodles which again came with a watery sauce and was nothing tasty just a lil spicy with no Thai spices/flavours. Both dishes were so far from authentic Thai food.
