Orbit Cafe — Restaurant in Napier

Really really disappointing from a customer service perspective. This was our 2nd day in a row. Day 1 was super busy so the food mistake, and the coffee mistake, and lengthy delay could be given a pass. Today, less busy but still well patronised. Coffee came promptly and was nice, food came promptly and whilst fresh and tasty was clearly carelessly put together. The French toast was delivered without bacon, and my well reduced order came without salad greens despite the order. I asked to speak to the manager to give feedback, as they really are better than that, but felt dismissed when she, clearly did not want any conversation, and offered a "thank you for your feedback" response with a face that said considerably more, and less pleasantly. What a pity! I thought I’d found the perfect little café to sit and work for a while. I even asked if it was ok. I ordered brunch and three XL coffees, and was planning to stick around for lunch too. But after just two hours the owner came over, was super rude, and basically chased me out.

Went to Orbit Cafe this morning before flying out of Napier. Got myself an Eggs Benedict with an Americano with Cream. The food and drinks came quite quick given how busy the cafe was when we came in. My eggs bene was good, served on an English muffin with sliced tomato.
