Banh Mi Saigon — Restaurant in Napier

I had a pork belly banh mi, it was nice enough but I think for two dollars more it should come with fries... My disappointment was that the pork belly didn't have crackling like I've had on a pork belly banh mi from a different place in the world... It would've given the pork more flavour and bite.. also missing cucumber and coriander like usual traditional banh mi.. I would possibly eat here again from dine in or takeouts but not pay $22 for one delivered sandwich... It wasn't bad but it wasn't Ah mazing if you know what I mean.. this is coming from someone who had been to Vietnam but also had this type of food in Australia as well.. I know each place is different and unique but yeah just some suggestions moving forward.. it was filled up to the end...

The banh mis are so freaking delicious. A combination of (pickled) vegetables, the smoky meat etc really creates a flavour bomb. Not only is it delicious but it’s fresh! You can really taste it.

The service is also super friendly. Always welcoming and smiling, recommending new dishes if you’re unsure.

The prices are also super decent, especially for the quality of their dish/meals. Although I haven’t tried the meat on chips or the other dishes, I’m sure they taste just as good.

Overall, I would definitely say that it’s worth a trip down to this little shop. Truly a hidden gem in greenmeadows. Once you try it you’ll be craving it all the time. Speaking from experience since I come here probably...
