Small but mighty! If you’re in the area on Sunday, it’s worth stopping by for a treat but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. Loved the fresh blueberry icecream from Bay Blueberries, steak+onion sammie from the Bacon Sandwich Co, and Yeast Coast Baking had lots of fantastic looking treats of which I can highly recommend the ham+cheese+pesto scroll 😋 I remember there was also a sausage vendor, apple grower, honey, veg, coffee, mushrooms and... a local guitarist serenading us! May have been a couple more stalls but it is VERY small.

It was raining when I went and the website did say it was open rain or shine. It is located on the street between Memorial Square and the Clive Square Garden. It was smaller than I anticipated. There were maybe 10 or so stalls along both sides of the street. The biggest one being the bakery. There were also a few food trucks there. I was expecting it to be bigger for some reason. I possibly would have enjoyed it more if it was sunny but I just went down and up the market once before leaving.

Visiting Napier for few days, stopped in here to kill some time. Market very small, just the normal coffee, breads/savouries, bacon sammies, fruit/veg, wooden chopping boards & flowers. Locals very friendly. Only negative the coffee truck makes horrible coffee and extremely hot. So if you do decide to buy from here be sure to ask for 2 cups so you can at least hold your distasteful cup of coffee.

It was light showers as we got to the market. Both sides of the street along the park had market stalls. As we were travelling onto Wellington we could not buy any fresh produces or perishables, even if these were looking so good and fresh at the stalls. We did decide to buy from the bakery stall as we could eat these along the way. Definitely would come back and with more time to stay.

Fantastic atmosphere and fabulous fresh produce. I was especially impressed with the herbs & flower plants for sale. You do not have to buy a full punnet you can buy just one plant or make up a mixed basket of what you need. What a brilliant idea! Well worth a visit to this great Farmers Market right next to the beautiful Clive Square in Napier city centre.

Small, as in about 10 tents. Yet if you want fruit and veg, honey and bread, tea or coffee or hot chocolate or milk and a few treats then I suggest you go. Oh and they are all local. I'm sure there's something for everyone... Wait, did I mention the bacon sammies?
