Maungakiekie Golf Club — Attraction in Puketāpapa

Played 9th Dec 24.

It's not anything fancy but! 5 stars! I felt so welcomed here. No nasty faces or comments just friendly people all over. From Brett manning the Recep to our playing partner, Hiong Dongge. Everyone were just greets and smiles and all that candy. The quality of the fairway were good enough not great but for what we paid, I can't complain. Very easy going course and quite challenging due to the crazy ups and downs of the fairways and so even with the cool air and darkish clouds, still was a workout.

Players are mainly Koreans and locals I think. All timely too. Can't help but not give a 5 star for the human-welcome-feel that playing...

Location is good Fairways and rough very muddy in the middle of winter Greens nice and rolling really well however

I was most disappointed though that the proshop would not give me a scorecard after paying a $70 green fee, as I was playing as a single and did not have a marker to attest my score, on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in the middle of winter….

First hand experience today, If you are a 60+ golfer like muah, recommend a golf cart like i did. Funny enough a very enjoyable challenging course. Dont try and beat the course. A good straight drive n approach to the greens i found got me a few pars missed birdie chances but all in all gr8 clubrooms and gr8 staff.I will only give it a 5 star if i get atleast one bird but thats 4...
