We went with high expectations but were disappointed. It was so ridiculously busy that you spent a lot of your 50 minute session waiting in a line to have a turn and being pushed around by people cutting in line. I could not believe that many people were allowed on at one time. It was very disorganised with people trying to go on obstacles in opposite directions. There is a lot less of a safety focus as well when compared to the Otago water park. As many people as you want can climb up and on the same things, limited viewing for spectators and caregivers on the shore and no one checks life jackets are appropriately fitted and not broken. People were jumping off from anywhere even if there were still people below because there was very limited monitoring going on by staff. Some of the equipment was also in rather shallow water so you could hit the ground when you fell off. Also very weedy so be prepared to get tangled up in that when you fall off. Would not recommend unless you go on...
Read morePositives: It was great fun for big and little kids, safety briefing and equipment provided, we were monitored / life guarded. Staff were friendly. Not many people in our session (25), so it was fine. 50 minutes was plenty for me. It was a cold day, I disagree that this is better than a sunny one! Negatives: you need to be a strong swimmer and quite fit to get around (this was well advertised). The course was limited, more variety in the obstacles and a larger course would have been better. Pond water was gross, we all got a little sick after, so be...
Read moreReally cool place for kids so super safe. Easy parking and places to sit. Found a special online with both Groupon $20 p child 50 mins) and Grabone ($12.50 p child 50 mins) so I booked 2 separate times back to back. The water is cold so kids who get chilled easily will need wetsuits. Life jackets are provided and there's 2 life guards at all times. The crowd lines up by the entrance to the jetty then everyone gets a life jacket, they swim across about 10 meters and climb up and then entertain themselves 🙂 we will...
