Have been going to the Kaiapoi roast shop for many years and has always been very good quality. I've noticed in the last 3 months with new people running it meals not as good the prices have gone up but the meals are definitely smaller. I buy a meal a week tonight's meal was large beef the meat was very fatty and it was dry and nowhere near as many vegetables as normal only one piece of pumpkin one piece of Kumara and four pieces of potato a large meal used to have two bits of pumpkin and two pieces of Kumara mixed veggies and gravy. Read moreI note the new owners apologised a month ago for inadequacies but it seems nothing has improved. 4 meals we purchased and 3 were incorrect. 2 were remade at the time but 2 were not discovered until we got home as had been assured they were what had been ordered. 1 x completely wrong meal -ordered pork, got chicken off the bone but had dangerous slivers of bone and fat tissue in it and 1 x meal had hardly any food - actually half empty. Yes it's frozen mixed veges in the dish because most of the meal is meat or root vegetables, yes brocolli or cauliflower would be good but I can understand why they don't include that as people would thumb their nose at that too, my son won't eat pumpkin which we exclude in our orders.
