Greymouth Clocktower — Attraction in South Island

Located by the Greymouth Flood Wall, this Greymouth landmark still plays the bell on the clock. It wasn't mentioned anywhere online, but we were lucky enough to be around when it happened at 8am (watch the video). Great history. Nice walkway either side of the clock and a nice spot next to it, with shaded seating, that looks like a big bus stop, with historical photos and details of the clocks history and local flooding. A pretty little park across the road and a public toilet...
