Located by the Greymouth Flood Wall, this Greymouth landmark still plays the bell on the clock. It wasn't mentioned anywhere online, but we were lucky enough to be around when it happened at 8am (watch the video). There's a small shelter next to the tower with an information board about its history and there's an observation deck to enjoy the Grey River view. The wind was strong when we were here due to the gloomy weather. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Great history. Nice walkway either side of the clock and a nice spot next to it, with shaded seating, that looks like a big bus stop, with historical photos and details of the clocks history and local flooding. A pretty little park across the road and a public toilet close by too

A restored clock tower with a wee little gallery next to it explaining the history of the town and the river flooding. Itโ€™s a beautiful walk along the river too along here. Many cyclists and joggers enjoy it. I wouldโ€™ve gone further if not for the scorching heat !
