A funky, quirky cafe with a good selection of creative tasty food. I had the meat lovers breakfast - and it was delicious - bacon cooked to perfection, poached eggs nice and runny as I requested, plus nicely cooked meat, patties and black pudding - served pretty quickly. A nice array of free newspapers for customers to browse, and a great vibe, with quietly charming, laid back yet efficient staff. Coffee was hearty with a good crema, the custard slice was delicious and tasted homemade. I was glad I dropped and I’d heartedly recommend this cafe. They even had discounts for gold cards!

Coffee is good and the deco is quite artistic. In the back area there is a small playground for kids. Some handcrafted artwork hang on the wall for sale. The atmosphere is casual yet with attitudes. The staffs are friendly but pay little attention to the customers. Better go to the counter for any order or request. We stayed here for probably an hour. My kid loved this place. Coffee is good but the desert is a bit too sweet.

Love this place. Idisyncratic retro feel to it. Cool fifties furniture which reminds me of a traditional Italian espresso bar. Great decor. My experience of the staff was all positive. I guess other reviewers just got unlucky. Good coffee. Clean toilets. Chilled music; not too loud. Good location too in an arty area close to the flood wall walkway. Check out the street art on and near this building. I'd definitley go back.

The professor and I arrived in Greymouth keen for coffee. Google, rightfully had put this cafe near the top of the list of coffee purveyors in Greymouth. We navigated to the destination and found a park close by. The look was eclectic but the coffee was anything but. Professor McFussy declared that her cappuccino the best that she could recall. My long black was excellent. We enjoyed their cabinet food and liked the look of the food going to other customers but we were there for coffee and were very happy. Only one negative was the wallpaper music. I don't recall any tunes being played. An eclectic music mix would add another layer to...

Loved my visit to DP1 Café in Greymouth! Such a convenient spot, just a short stroll from the hotel, and the views made it even better – the perfect place to start the day. Staff were friendly, accommodating and there was minimal wait time despite the popularity

The food was absolutely spot on:

Meat Lovers Breakfast → hearty, generous, and full of flavour.

Custard Slice → sweet, creamy, and the perfect treat.

Hot Chocolate → rich, comforting, and ideal for the muggy morning weather.

Friendly vibes, great menu, and stunning surroundings – this café is a must-try when you’re...
