DOLAPO OBAT GALLERY — Attraction in Maitama

This is definitely not an Art Gallery. I had to check the definition of Art once again before writing this review. The "art works" on display were neither creative nor imaginative, it just felt like the ravings of someone suffering from depression. Probably the art gallery was a way for someone to find value in life. So that being said it might actually look like art to the creator.

The gallery is a good place to hold meetings with small group of people (about 50-70). The air conditioning was faulty the day I visited and the water supply was in the washroom was nonexistent.

Also, the gallery is not wheelchair accessible and you have to climb a scary metal staircase to gain access to...

Absolutely must go if/when visiting Abuja. Artwork speaks for itself and layout is unmatched. I was really surprised of the location & quality! Will highly recommend for list of things to do/see on any day to get a good eye for the finer...

A lovely space to visit, i visited the gallery during its first exhibition titled "MONO" by Dolapo Obat, there were many tasteful pieces of artwork and i was mostly drawn to the Ceaser series, i'm looking forward to more...
