355 Steakhouse & Lounge — Restaurant in Maitama

I’ve been to this restaurant before a few times, but not for the buffet. I tried their buffet once earlier this year, and it was okay — not perfect, but decent. I really liked the carnival-style service where they came around with skewers of different meats and prawns. It was fun and something different, so I thought it would be a great idea to go back for my birthday brunch with two of my friends. Unfortunately, it turned out to be such a disappointing experience. The quality had dropped so much. There were no prawns at all, and the only options I got were beef and turkey — both so hard it was difficult to chew. One of the servers told me not to worry, that he’d make some soft chicken for me, but he never came back. We had to constantly call for our drinks, and they took forever to arrive. It honestly felt like we weren’t even visible to the servers — as if nobody cared whether we were being served or not. To make things worse, the staff seemed far more focused on the content creators who were there filming than on the actual paying guests. It honestly felt like we were an afterthought. It was really embarrassing, especially since I’d spoken so highly of the place before. I left feeling let down and disappointed. I had heard of this restaurant and never been there. So I went with a friend visiting from out of town. I used google maps to get there n it was so easy to find, adequate security men to assist in parking cars, but parking inside the compound is very limited.

I had a look inside n I loved the decor. there is outdoor n indoor seating area. I love the ambience inside, outdoor is very lovely but seating out better at night with a cool weather.

Staff very friendly and were ready to assist because I moved from one end of the seating area to next and so waiter was changed.

We had the Mexican platter for starters which was chicken, tacos, guacamole, tiger prawns etc. I loved the setting of the platter but I just had chicken n tacos. I ordered chicken ceasar salad without croutons because I am on a diet and my friend had tequila steak with mashed potatoes. Her meal was very nice, a very healthy serving. My friend kept humming and singing n dancing on her seat, she said she was so happy with the meal. My salad was nice, I didnt have a complain and i had to share my salad into half because i felt was too much for me

The price is just upper limit of average so this place is good for maybe anniversary, 1st date and definitely...

Dinner review Dry Martini : we had this as an aperitif. Martini is a classic aperitif for dinner and it is particularly nice paired with seafood. So we had Prawn cocktail for starters.

Prawns cocktail : we had this for starters. The ratio of prawns to sauce was alright . It was served warm and the sauce was nice .

Rose wine : We had to pick a wine that would suit the diversity of the meals that everyone was having, so of course the safe bet was a Rosè wine.

Grilled Duck Breast : I had my duck breast medium rare . Yes, unlike turkey and chicken duck breast is safe eaten medium rare because it’s texture is closer to that of red meat. It was very moist and juicy
