By far the most frequented park in the city and quite possibly in the country. Spacious and situated in a dense part of the metropolis. It features an abundance of activities, event spaces, sports facilities and pool. Entrance is free but you will have to pay for most activities. If you know about New York's central park, then meet our version of it.
Although you can relax on the lawn and enjoy the sun, seems like most people are not here to do that. Instead, they are either walking, jogging, bicycling, or partaking in an activity. This is very much an active park. There are a few kiosks at the entrance that sell food. There is even a public library towards the middle of the park.
One of my favorite things about this park are the rolling hills. You cannot see its entirety from any point because it is not flat. Instead, you will have to walk over one hill to see another. This is most evident when using the tracks which extend for more than three kilometers in a circle.
The parking lot will accommodate most cars during the day. But you will start to run out of luck if you arrive after five in the afternoon or on the weekend. I saw only one small facility with a few bathrooms. No toilet paper so bring your own. Their website has a lot of information pertaining...
Read moreParque Omar is probably the biggest park there is in Panama 🇵🇦. This park is amazing for walking and biking since the park stretches for miles and in a circle ⭕️ which allows endless of walking and biking. Furthermore, there is plenty of activities to do such as playground and a water park for kids. As well as soccer fields ⚽️, tennis fields 🎾 and basketball field 🏀, don’t worry if one is taken since there are at least 3 of each fields in the park. One other things you can do is picnic 🧺 since there so much wide space for it. There is also food stand that you could buy drinks and snacks. Overall, an amazing park to spend time with your friends and family. One recommendation that I would add to the park is sitting area in the entrance of the park since people have to stand around waiting...
Read moreBreathe of freah air & contact with nature in the middle of the city. The restrooms have been recently renovated. Some side walks have cracks & would be a danger to senior citizens or anyone with a physical impairment. Muddy if it's been raining. Bug repellent & sun screen is suggested. Overall a great place to exercise. Downside: restrooms are far (disadvantage when going with kids or someone who uses the restroom frequently) and sometimes finding a parking spot takes a while. Lots of open space & different areas to choose from depending on your needs: picnic, child's play area, small biking area for kids, areas designated for certain sports (soccer, gym, tennis, volleyball, running, skating). Sometimes concerts are held in...
