One of my favourite places in Gensan. When in Gensan, my wife and I, finish our morning prayer , around 5.30 am. We buy hot pandisal and coffee and go to the park. Spend 2 hours, watching Gensan waking up and the sun rising behind the trees. It's a nicely kept and maintained place. February 20,2022 Have the same feeling about the place. We changed our visit timing. We go there in the evening. There are many food carts which makes the plaza more lively. More children in the weekends, maybe due to lifting covid-19 restrictions. July 16,2023 The pond in the plaza is renovated. It was neglected for many years . It was cleaned and will be painted, waiting for the budget. New plants replaced old onse. Soon will grew and look nice. The plaza is still a favourite place for us and many others who come to walk and enjoy the scenery. One thing needs attention. Unfortunately many people bring their dogs. Sometimes, it looks like a public toilet for dogs. I hope someone will do...

There is so much potential for this to be a beautiful green space. It needs more investment from the city. The things they most definitely should do: install bigger trash cans so people won't litter. Things the city could consider adding: playground or swings for kids, picnic tables for students or families, a covered gazebo so people can be protected from sudden rains, fitness plaques around the major peripheral walkway, and finally just my opinion that the many walking stones be painted with numbers, shapes, alphabets etc for children and their parents to...

At night, the area near Sydney Hotel turns into one street food haven. Take the risk and go into a foodie adventure. It's fun!
Look for the Shrine for the 300+ fishermen who perished during Typhoon Yolanda and say a little prayer. There are also monuments of Dr. Jose Rizal, Gat Andres Bonifacio and a monument for the Blaan Dialect.
Trivia: The remains of the plaza's and this city's namesake Gen. Paulino Santos and his wife are buried under this shrine. #LetsGuide #Park #Shrines #Monuments
