When I arrived at the airport, I was a bit tired and stressed from a long day of travel. As I entered the check-in area, a friendly airline staff member greeted me with a smile and immediately asked if I needed help with my check-in. They assisted me quickly and efficiently, answering all my questions with patience. Afterward, I proceeded to the security check where the staff were polite and professional, making the process smoother than expected.

When I got to the boarding gate, the flight attendants began preparing for boarding. They announced the flight clearly and in a light tone, ensuring that all passengers understood the boarding process. I appreciated how organized everything was.

As I boarded the plane, a flight attendant greeted me with a smile and directed me to my seat. The entire cabin crew greeted everyone warmly, so I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. As I settled in, one of the flight attendants approached and offered assistance in placing my bag in the overhead compartment, showing care and attentiveness.

Throughout the flight, the flight attendants moved through the cabin efficiently, offering drinks and snacks in a friendly manner.

Later, when turbulence started, the seatbelt sign was turned on. The cabin crew remained calm and reassuring, explaining the situation to the passengers and making sure everyone was properly buckled in. A few moments later, they checked in with me, asking if I was comfortable and if I needed anything. I told them I was fine.

As the plane approached its destination, the cabin crew began preparing for landing and reminded everyone of the safety procedures. They thanked the passengers for flying and wished us a pleasant day as we waited to deplane.

In the course of this experience, I felt the respect and excellent service from the flight attendants and cabin crew, which gave me confidence and satisfaction throughout the entire...

We arrived at 7pm and we thought we could get Grab but there were not many drivers in the area. However, there are cars for hire that charge P700. As a tourist, this is annoying because the amount is exorbitant, especially since the distance is very short. Anything beyond Alona Beach is priced P700 and up.

As for the facilities inside the airport, it has greatly improved compared to when it was a small airport. In the departure area, before you enter the last bag check, you can get souvenirs from the Bee Farm and vegan food. In the pre-departure gates, there are several shops: food, coffee, and souvenirs. Surprisingly, the island souvenirs were priced the same as the souvenirs outside the airport.

The airport staff can be too eager to weigh your handcarry that it becomes troublesome. A lady whose son is travelling with him does not have handcarry while the mom was holding two. I'm not sure what the airport staff does not understand, but they insist the mom should have only one handcarry. It was settled afterwards, but it seems the ground staff does not put customer care first.

Another incident is that I was called to go back to the counter for my checked in luggage. After checking in with the counter about the problem, literally seconds after and just standing a few meters away from the same person whom I talked to, she called me again in the PA system. Our handcarry was also weighed twice. Once at the counter and the second time before boarding. We have declared that our bag contains a camera and can not be checked in. We have 7 kilos with us, but when we are about to board the plane, the staff said we need to get a sticker for our handcarry. This inconsistencies in boarding rules make this airport experience...

The airport is relatively beautiful and clean (esp. compared to MNL). However, the airport is extremely disorganized and the staff, both the folks working for the airport and the ones who work for the private airlines, are quite shady.

The entrance area was especially frustrating. The folks in my party and I were patiently standing in line in the hot outdoors to enter. When it was our turn to enter, a bunch of staff from one of the Korean airlines started cutting the line. I was loudly making comments about how obnoxiously rude it was for them to be able to cut the line instead of having their own designated line. The Korean folks looked incredibly embarrassed as they realized (I am assuming) that what the TAG airport staff was making them do was incredibly disrespectful to passengers.

Another thing that I found frustrating with this airport is their lack of coordination between check-in counters and security. The folks in my group and I had to weigh our carry-on items at the check-in counters, which is normal and reasonable. However, before queuing for the security line, a security guard, who was only a few yards away from the check-in counter, made us re-weigh our bags. It was confusing and annoying, but funny enough, it was also how I found out that the check-in counter added extra weight on their weighing scale. These airport and airline folks are really shady, just like their counterparts at the...

Date of Visit: October 2019 This is a newly opened airport in Bohol, replacing the airport in Tagbilaran City. It has lovely, refreshing views inside, thanks to the high ceilings and large glass windows. Other pros: - Free Wi-Fi for a limited time - Nice comfy chairs (besides the normal airport steel benches) at the waiting area - Clean bathrooms - Easily accessible escalators and elevators However, there are limited stores/restaurants inside the airport. I think there are only two mini stalls that mainly sell snacks. So make sure to eat a full meal somewhere else before your flight. The airport is also too small to be considered an "international" airport. Check-in counters are crowded, and most people line up on the priority lane even if they're not with little kids or senior citizens. The departure gates can also be filled with passengers waiting for their flights, especially if it's delayed (which happens most of the time on Cebu Pacific's domestic flights). Outside the airport, you can find several travel agencies which offer itinerary travel promos. It includes a transfer from the airport to your hotel, plus a tour around the island. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any taxis around, so your options for exploring Bohol island are limited. There were a few buses, but I think they are for pre-booked private use.
