Great food Terrible Waiter Food in Sica is pretty decent. Nice character inside most dishes. Had great times here until my terrible lunch today. We brought some seniors(65+yrs) here for lunch on a 32°C day. The waiter informed us it might take about 20-30 mins until we can have a table inside( which is very understandable). We were seated in open area so we ordered and informed them we were waiting for an a/c table.Throughout the time I reminded the staff five times to not forget us to move in as more people arrived. I personally do not mind to eat without a/c however to have elderly that were suffering under heat was terrible. For the outside tables there were only one household fan for 5 tables. When there were finally space the waiter offered the other customers who came later than us( two tables of guests ) to enter into the a/c hall and left us in the heat. I didn't want to make a scene so we spent the next half an hour outside without any explanation. The seniors were flushed from heat so we called a tricycle and led them back to the hotel for some relief. Afterwards I confronted the waiter for his absence of customer service, his explanation was that our table was already being served with food and we were eating already. So he decided ( without informing us) to offer the table to the other tables of guests( which related or not are all young couples, we mostlikely have the eldest age people in the restaurant). It emphasizes the absence of care to elderly and basic service. I was not asking for " Special treatment", I was merely asking if any tables available let us move into with a/c. And the part that the waiter found no wrong doing in his violation of promise or laziness to move table because there were food of plates already diminished the wonderful food the chefs prepared. I feel sorry for the rest of the staffs with this comment. They did great work, cooked well for so many customers and because of one staff's absence of mind I have complained like this. Looking at elder parents suffering during a meal, withstanding their heatstroke like face and witnessed them trying to hide it with sunglasses shouldn't be something any one needs to go through. If there were no solutions I can understand. But this was not the case. Sorry to the chefs and other...
Read moreWe called for a last minute reservation to this place and although they we’re loaded with diners, they were kind enough to accept with a little bit of compromise.
Still no high chairs (we’ve been to this place before) available but it’s alright.
When we arrived, i had to commend the staff for being quick to assist us while we wait for a table. I like that the reservations were properly endorsed among the employees that they knew it was us because i told on the phone id be coming with young children hahaha.
As for the food, we already knew it was exceptional and up until now. My husband wanted to try something we haven’t ordered yet and i feel like it’s now our recent fave lol Basilio was yummy! He ordered Damaso, omg if there were no kids around ill be able to devour them all but i had to feed my 2 people under 2yo first! And my soup loving toddler ate the sinigang omg so embarassing 🫣 for me coz although he loved it, he kept asking for more, i didn’t even have to spoonfeed him, he kept eating while on the side drinking the mango shake and also even munching on the Chichay. Poor baby’s tummy regurgitated his food from being too full. I guess that was how good their food was, he was fine after that but sorry for the staff they had to clean up the mess worse at the near end of their shift. 😅 gotta watch out his eating next time we come here. Hopefully they’ll have high chairs this time 😁
