A Delightful Afternoon at Puerto Princesa Baywalk

Our Group of Seven School Heads from DepEd Sablayan South, Division of Occidental Mindoro, had the pleasure of visiting Baywalk during our city tour in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on June 28, 2024. The experience was nothing short of delightful.

As we arrived at Baywalk, we were greeted by the scenic view of the waterfront, with its picturesque backdrop of boats and the serene bay. The well-maintained promenade was perfect for a leisurely stroll, allowing us to soak in the beauty of the area while enjoying the gentle sea breeze.

The vibrant atmosphere at Baywalk was infectious. Local families and tourists alike were out enjoying the evening, creating a lively and welcoming environment. Street vendors offered a variety of local snacks and delicacies, which we eagerly sampled. The freshly grilled seafood and local treats were a highlight of our visit. Additionally, there were numerous restaurants offering a wide choice of fresh seafood, providing us with a delightful dining experience.

One of the standout features of Baywalk was the stunning sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, casting brilliant hues of orange and pink across the sky, was a truly mesmerizing sight. It was a perfect moment of relaxation and reflection amidst our busy tour schedule.

The cleanliness and safety of Baywalk were commendable, and the presence of benches and shaded areas made it a comfortable place to unwind. We also noticed the presence of tourist police, which added to our sense of security as we enjoyed the area.

Our visit to Baywalk was a memorable part of our Puerto Princesa city tour. It offered us a chance to relax, enjoy delicious food, and take in the natural beauty of the bay. We highly recommend including Baywalk in your itinerary when visiting Puerto...

Puerto Princesa Baywalk is honestly one of the best public spots in the city if you’re looking for a relaxing place to hang out. I love going there late in the afternoon, especially just before sunset. The sea breeze, the view of the water, and the warm colors of the sky make it a peaceful and beautiful spot to just slow down and breathe.

The walkway is wide and great for casual strolls or biking, and there are usually families, couples, and tourists around—everyone enjoying the same calm vibe. There are food stalls along the area too, selling grilled seafood, street food like fish balls, and cool drinks, which makes the experience even better.

What I appreciate is that the area feels safe and generally clean. But I do hope the city government continues to maintain it well—not just the pathway and landscaping, but also the facilities. One thing I noticed is the lack of clean, accessible restrooms. That would make a big difference for both locals and tourists. It would also be great if they could add more shaded areas or resting spots, especially for older visitors and families with kids. It gets really hot during the day, and a few more covered benches would go a long way.

Still, even with those improvements needed, the Baywalk is a gem in the city. It’s not commercialized or overly crowded, and that’s part of its charm. It gives you a real sense of the local life in Puerto Princesa—calm, simple, and...

Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park is an absolute must-visit destination in Puerto Princesa, Philippines. As soon as you arrive, you'll be blown away by the stunning views of Honda Bay and the mountains beyond. The park stretches for over 2 kilometers along the coastline, providing plenty of space to stroll, jog, bike or just sit and take in the scenery.

One of the best things about the Baywalk is how clean and well-maintained it is. The paths are paved and lined with lamps, benches and lush greenery. I saw staff continuously working to keep the area tidy. It's clear the city takes great pride in this park.

In the evenings, the Baywalk really comes alive. Locals and tourists alike come out to dine in the many restaurants and cafes facing the water. There's also live music and entertainment. It has such a fun, festive vibe. Don't miss the magnificent sunsets either!

Overall, Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park exceeded my expectations. It offers peaceful natural beauty during the day and lively entertainment at night. I could have spent hours just sitting on a bench, enjoying the views and gentle breeze. It's an unforgettable place and an absolute must-visit in Puerto Princesa. I would happily...

The port area of Puerto Princesa, where small and big vessels dock, including luxury and navy ships. The area is a sprawling park where people usually stroll to breathe he seabreeze in the morning, and relax during late afternoons. During the night, there are different food stalls that operate to serve meals. The food ranges from local catch to grilled meats, pasta, sandwiches and beers. It is ideal for groups, both young and old. There is an area for parking with access for wheel chairs. For kids, there are bicycles for hire. Sports and Health enthusiasts also do their exercise routines in this place especially during weekends. This is also a place where programs are held by the local government unit and social groups. During special occassions, especially the Feast day of the patron saint Immaculate Conception, December 8, and March 4 foundation day of the city, Baywalk is where the fireworks display is held during the programs of sing and dances. During Christmas time, a giant Christmas tree is also decorated for people to see and have pictures taken.
