Nestled near City Baywalk in Puerto Princesa, Eightynine Cafe is a hidden gem that offers a cozy yet elegant dining experience. Though the cafĂ© is small and often jam-packed, especially with foreigners, it delivers an amazing ambiance with thoughtful decor incorporating local artifacts, making it feel warm and inviting. During our visit, we ordered their Adobo Flakes with sunny-side-up egg and garlic rice, along with their Cordon Bleu—both of which are bestsellers. The Cordon Bleu, in particular, was exceptional, easily one of the best we’ve had. For drinks, I had an Iced Mocha, while my wife opted for a hot Spanish Latte—both well-prepared and flavorful. The only downside was the slightly slow service, likely due to the high volume of diners and the fact that all the food is freshly cooked. However, the wait was worth it, as every dish was delicious and well-prepared. If you’re in Puerto Princesa, I highly recommend trying Eightynine Cafe. Despite its small size and possible wait time, the quality of food and ambiance make it a must-visit. Don’t miss their Double Flakes and Cordon Bleu! We loved the experience and will definitely return.

Wonderful little cafĂ©. We ended up here twice during our 4day stay in Puerto Princessa although we had breakfast included at our guest house. The food is great, especially the shakshuka with fresh pita! Really rich tomato and peppersauce with creamy egg. Pure delight. The ”full English is also very good with grilled tomato and spinach aswell as the grilled cheese with pesto and tomato. Good coffee when you’ve been craving something ”real” for a while 😅. Just check with the lovely staff which are sweetened, I like mine strong and without sugar. Staff is very friendly and service minded. Oh and don’t miss the fresh lemonade! Gives you a nice kick! The atmosphere is calm and cosy with quaint interior design and chill music. A real little gem this one! Also open for dinner but we never had the time. Hope you do! 😃 Steffi Sweden

I've always passed by this coffee shop during my morning runs but I decided to finally try out their food just recently. I ordered Chicken Tenders and a Matcha Latte, and both were superb! The tenders were incredibly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and they came with a delicious dipping sauce. Their Matcha Latte is hands-down one of the best I've tasted in the city – it was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and had a smooth, creamy texture. The cafĂ© itself has a really chill vibe with soft music playing in the background and comfortable seating. I was able to get some writing done peacefully. The service was excellent – quick and attentive without feeling rushed. It was a 10/10 experience for me! 😋
