This park has been a popular landmark in Puerto Princesa for as long as I can remember. It is strategically located in the heart of the city, and is a go-to venue for a wide array of events and competitions. On most days, you'll witness a number of students doing performance rehearsals and sports practice here. There are also food stalls around the area. Aside from that though, you'll find not much of exciting activities here, in comparison to Puerto Princesa baywalk. Maybe 30 minutes would already be a generous amount of time for a visit.

utilitarian in nature, strategic by design, and effective for its purposes. The Park is named after a hero who died for his country. On January 24, 1944, former Palawan Governor Higinio Mendoza, Sr. was executed by the Japanese. In his defiant last recorded words he instructed his family and fellow countrymen: “Do not be afraid, don’t be sad. Not many are given the privilege to die for his country.”

Mendoza Park in Puerto Princesa is the heart of Palawan's beauty and community spirit. From the moment you step in, you're embraced by the serene surroundings and the delightful blend of nature and urban life. The park's stunning waterfront view is a sight to behold, especially during sunset. It's the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a leisurely stroll, or simply sit back and savor the moment.

The local government had made an improvement to the park and it was worth it.

The park has a peaceful ambience. I am used to going here whenever I have appointments in our city proper.

In this park you'll most likely see that youths that are doing practice for a dance, bike, skateboard, here. So it was entertaining to see how these youths are hardworking their passion, or preparing for a show on their schools or an...
