Circular Pedestrian Bridge — Attraction in Aveiro

Very beautiful scenery, a truly touristic point of Aveiro. You can see the moliceiro tours constantly coming and going, and appreciate the landscape perfectly by yourself or with some company. The only downside is that the pillars and the metal grid that covers the sides of the bridge are absolutely covered with spiders and could probably do with (more) cleaning. Designed by Luís Viegas and Domingos Moreira, this bridge was completed in 2006. Its name derives from botirões—traditional fishing tools and techniques once used for setting nets and lamps—highlighting the fishing heritage of the Aveiro Lagoon (Ria de Aveiro).
