The museum consists of a small family business who still run the grounds in the traditional way for harvesting the famous flor de sal from Aveiro. They are very enthusiastic to tell about the process and are very friendly.
You can see the salt basin in different stadiums of the salt winning process, where the men still do all the labour by hand.
Beside the interesting side of the location, you can also buy some salt in the little shed that's on the front of the basins.
