Casino Espinho — Attraction in Espinho

I am really speechless. I've been to dozens of casinos around the world but this one was a disaster. The entrance was a challenge. There was only one employee at the entrance who didn't seem to know how to get in (you had to have your ID scanned to get in) and it just didn't work, but after 20 minutes I was finally allowed in. I played in the high roller area in the upper part of the casino. After about 2 hours and 3 really bad cocktails (I don't recommend drinking cocktails here!) the whiskey was good, but you can't do much wrong with whiskey. Where was I... oh yes, after 2 hours me and my wife wanted to eat something. The restaurant was nicely decorated and I was expecting a delicious meal. But I was very quickly brought back down to earth. The food was a buffet consisting of dry white rice, seafood rice and some kind of fried dumplings and chips, I don't mean chips in the sense of freshly made chips or the like. No, no, they were chips from a bag like from the supermarket. Everything was salty and my wife had drunk an entire bottle of water after half of the plate because it only tasted of salt. I returned both plates and asked for the bill. The waiter came up to me with a bill of 50€. I thought the waiter was joking and would give me the real bill straight away. But here too I was wrong, he was serious. I have no problem paying 50€ or even 500€ if you get something good that is worthwhile and you leave the shop with a good feeling, but this was a real joke. This is the worst casino I ever been too!! And I am an avid gambler! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!! Playing blackjack dealer got an ace showing I'm assuming she is gonna look at her down card to see if she has blackjack already but she doesn't so that was odd, so we proceed to play so they dealt me two aces so I obviously split the aces get another ace now I got 3 aces, first hand i get 14, second hand i get 21, third hand i get 21...now it's the dealers turn she flips her undercard and it's a 10...and they tell me I lose all 3 hands...wooooow. I never ever in my 20 plus years of playing blackjack ever heard of no idiotic rules like that. It's such a disadvantage for the players that it should be illegal!! They are taking advantage of the people, not fair at all!! I visited Sunday night may 18 2025. And on top of that after I lose the host asks me to pay for his meal! I was in complete awe! We had a reservation at the casino for dinner, but we were not allowed to eat in because I was using shorts(shino, with dress shirt, Business casual)… It is unacceptable, not at the beach, the casino looks as old as their rules and policies(they make you scan your id’s if you want to access). The service was poor as well, they failed to tell us there was a dress code when I did the reservation… They also failed to tell us, we needed to bring our identification documents to access the machine area… There is no information in website either! At the reception they failed again to see I was in shorts and literally escorted us to the restaurant, a waste of our time. Specially that we were staying at the Solverde Hotel&spa, which is part of the group, meaning we already provided our id’s. You can easily see by the outside looks that the casino lacks maintenance, it seems it is a problem with most of Solverde group infrastructure.
