Praia das Fontainhas is a fantastic bathing beach, BUT special attention must be paid to the fact that this beach is not suitable for older and small children who can not swim. It is somewhat cumbersome to get down to the beach, with a narrow and steep access path. You will have to park your car about 10-15 minutes from the beach, so a short walk will be necessary. It is a quiet and cozy beach, so noise is considered rude. Remember to bring plenty of drinking water and take all your waste with you. 👍😎🇩🇰

This is a very beautiful hike, a very interesting area. It is at times a challenging terrain to walk on with loose gravel and steep climbs but on the whole it is manageable for most fitness levels. The views you get from near the edges are well worth the effort as hopefully you can see from the photographs we have included there is also local tour guides that can show you the area pointing out interest in nature terms. Beautiful beach and perfect for wild camping (even though it’s illegal but it’s far so no one will bother you)! Hidden but easy to access by walking from Albandeira beach, it’s a 5-10 minutes walk.. Well recommended to visit, not many people here

Beautiful and secluded beach. Keep in mind the difficult, steep, slippery access. Might be easier by kayaking or swimming in that case. If you have your balance in order and have the proper footwear, it should be okay, though.

Beautiful peaceful beach. Steep narrow steps/slope to get onto the beach so not great for those with mobility issues. Very clean beach. Seaweed free. Lovely place to swim

Great hidden beach! You need to hike down a little steep trail, but not too bad. The water is surprisingly nice, and not a lot of people in the middle of August.
