I recently visited this small beach that has instantly become my all-time favorite. Nestled away from the bustling crowds, this hidden gem offers a serene and calm atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. The beach may be petite in size, but its intimate setting ensures it never gets overcrowded. What sets this beach apart is its exceptional sea and sand quality, making it one of the finest in Europe. The crystal-clear waters invite you for a refreshing swim, while the soft, golden sand is ideal for strolling barefoot or simply basking in the sun. The beauty of this beach lies in its simplicity, providing a true escape from the daily hustle and bustle. Whether you seek solitude or a peaceful retreat with loved ones, this beach promises an unforgettable experience. Embrace the tranquility, soak up the sun, and allow yourself to be captivated by the sheer beauty that surrounds you.

Very nice beach, backed by a high cliff and with some interesting rock formations at its western end. Access is via a steep and tall stairway about halfway through it; or going down to the nearby Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha, then taking a small tunnel through the cliff - beware the tunnel starts tall and then becomes very short as you approach its exit to Praia Nova, so you have to bend 90 degrees as you walk. The beach is fully self catering, no beds or umbrellas, nor bars (go to the nearby beach for those).

The beach Praia Nova is a nice big family friendly beach which via a tunnel is connected to the neighboring beach Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha. The beach has no facilities, but it has the neighboring beach which via a tunnel is quick and easy to access. It is a nice, cozy and quiet beach, so can highly recommend visiting it. There is free parking close to the beach, but a short walk is necessary.

Wonderful beach. Crystal clear waters and no sign of the algae that seems to affect a lot of other beaches in the area. Plenty of people there but didn't feel crowded as it's a wide beach, and we got parked easily at 10am. Steep steps down which are an effort to climb back up in the heat but not too difficult.

A perfect beach for morning jogging, meditation or just a simple walk, lots of colorful shells and absolute peace in the off-season and early hours of the day. It is worth walking all the way between the rocks if low tide allows. At sunrise, the light paints amazing landscapes here ...
