Parque Urbano da Quinta da Granja — Attraction in Lisbon

This park has the area of 11 hacters. It has a large secular building that is called the large house of Quinta de Cima, with distinctly rural characteristics, perpetuating an interesting collection representing various aspects that marked the traditional way of life of an agricultural farm: the mill, the collection of utensils, agricultural machinery and the collection of sarongs. I hope it is named after it. In addition, a horticultural park was created, a set of urban gardens integrated into a homogeneous and delimited unit. The place is a space of nature where you feel like being: green, adequate arrangement, simple, some silence, space to be or walk. I go for running and take excercise in the park. The park offers a space for leisure and contact with nature, right in the middle of the city. It has a small kiosk with a terrace, crosswalks to walk through the park and a bike path. This park is rite next to the bus stop Colégio Militar and metro stop. Blue line Metro passes thru this stop so you can easily reach the park. The park is a quite little park. It has a bicycle track with the walking track so children can enjoy while you walk. Situada na Freguesia de Benfica, entre a Av. do Uruguai e a Av. Lusíada, a Quinta da Granja de Cima, com uma área de 11ha, constitui um testemunho riquíssimo de uma unidade de produção agrícola em plena cidade de Lisboa.

É nesta quinta que se situa um dos novos quiosques de Lisboa. Trata-se de um espaço agradável e tranquilo onde se pode desfrutar um café ou mesmo uma ligeira refeição, contribuindo em simultâneo para um projeto de solidariedade social: a reabilitação da Casa Grande, espaço de formação, de treino de competências sociais e de emprego temporário para portadores de Síndrome de Asperger.

A Quinta reúne um interessante espólio representativo de vários aspetos que marcaram o modo de vida tradicional de uma quinta agrícola: o lagar, a coleção de utensílios e maquinaria agrícola e a coleção de cangas.
