Bamboo — Restaurant in Portimão

Bamboo is a real hidden gem in Portimao and you don’t see any tourists here. We ordered a grilled veal and chef’s monkfish. Both dishes were carefully prepared to order, taste fresh and well seasoned. Do note that the set menu is regularly changed so you may see other dishes next time. The selection is small, but comes with bread, olives, drinks and coffee. The place is quite difficult to get a meal. At the first time we came at 2.00pm and the lady told us there were no foods left since they cooked quite small quantity every day for lunch only. In the second time, we came at 11.00am and were told that the service started at 12.00. They also recommended us to call in advance to reserve the dishes we like and come later. Luckily we still had our meals and the foods worth...

You can really see how much they focus on quality. The food was so well cooked felt like an amazing home cooked meal. They have daily menus based on what fresh produce and fish they get. We got salmon which was so soft, flavorful and melts in your mouth To make the experience even better, you can feel how passionate the owner is about the place. She wants to ensure that we get the best experience and love the food. On top of all of that, the price is insanely good.

Hidden gem! Amazing food and staff. Every day menu changes and provides only the top quality fresh ingredients. Must visit when in Portimao. We ate fish and steak. One menu set (12 euros) includes a meal of the day, soup, salad, drink and coffee. takeaway option is only 9 euros. You can sit outside in the sun and enjoy.
