It was my last evening in Algarve during my solo motorcycle trip and since I'm an absolute sucker for burgers, I decided to give The Boys a shot. Mind you, it's not your typical restaurant where you go, eat, and then leave. I had to wait a little outside because all tables were occupied but it was so for very good reason and was certainly worth the whole wait. While waiting they made sure I was comfortable and brought me a glass of water. I later found out that the meaning behind the name of the restaurant: it's ran by two "boys" (well, they're actually very well grown gentlemen), Leo and Alexey, who share an amazing story. I won't spoil it but I remained with them and a few other guests after it closed and talked about everything and nothing until midnight. During that time they served us beer and wine on the house. Also, Alexey is not just a great cook but also a great singer! They don't have a menu card so don't expect one, there are only a few things to choose from. The wagyu burger I ordered was impeccable. The prices are also beyond good for what you get. The whole experience made my night, thank you so much.

Love, love, love this restaurant and they definitely live up to their 5 star rating. Made a special trip from Lagos to Portimão to have lunch here (easy train ride). Even though I am not a big meat eater I had to try their wagyu hamburger. OMG- beyond fantastic- that first bite was memorable. Perfectly cooked and the flavors from the caramelized onions, cheeses, greens and whatever else the chef added meld together in perfect harmony- nothing else needs to be added. French fries were just crispy enough and lightly salted to round out this lunch. The atmosphere here gives off a vibe from the owners- filled with passion and love- which comes through in the food and service. To top everything off- the chef picked up his guitar and sang for us as well! I look forward to returning so I can experience every dish they prepare.

If you're looking for a delicious meal made with love and dedication, this is the place. It's not just about eating, it's a place filled with joy, dedication, fun, and love. This small bar-restaurant is owned by two amazing guys who do everything themselves, so please be patient when waiting for your food. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's great value for money, with meals ranging from 10-14 euros. They offer a meal of the day, which changes daily, and their burgers are fantastic. We were lucky on our first visit, as we were the only ones in the restaurant, and Alexey gave us a magical private show, singing and playing his guitar. Their energy drew us back three days later for dinner and a beer with our new friends. Great job, guys🫡🫶

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Boys, a true gem tucked away in the heart of Portimão. Owned and lovingly run by Leo Santos de Santana and Alexi Martinez Hernandez, this spot is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the owners themselves. The attention to detail in everything, from the handcrafted drinks to the stunning presentation of the food, was exceptional. The daily menu offers fresh, creative specials, alongside three beautiful salads and a lineup of sensational upscale hamburgers. The Waygu burgers, in particular, are out of this world! They were juicy, flavorful, and unlike anything we’ve had before.

But what truly set the evening apart was the unexpected joy of hearing Alexi sing during our meal. His voice is rich, expressive, and incredibly moving. His performance elevated our dinner to something truly unforgettable. It felt like we were treated to a private concert while enjoying top-tier cuisine.

The Boys is a place where passion, talent, and culinary artistry come together. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss the chance to experience this special place. We left feeling full, happy, and...

Amazing vibes 💕 Leo and Alexey are such incredible hosts! I have witnessed them bring their personalities and positive energy to each table and to the restaurant’s overall experience.

We are regulars - and my husband calls The Boys my happy place 💗 I can always find my smile while chatting with them, other clients, and even just observing. There are many other regulars for sure, and loads of holiday travelers as well. Dining here is not an experience to rush. It is however, a place with delicious food, purposeful and enjoyable conversations, great music, and International connections - the Portimão United Nations 🇺🇳

We have enjoyed all of their options. The menu is not huge, but definitely yummy. The wagu or dried-age burgers are my favorite, however we are big fans of their tuna salads, chicken legs, fish, and steaks too!

Reservations are a great idea, however if there is an open table consider it fate shining upon you! If we are a group of more than four, we always call ahead even during the...
