Praia da Rocha Baixinha Nascente — Attraction in undefined

Nice long beach a short walk from Villamoura main marina. Lovely sand with lots of space and sunbeds. It can get quite busy here at times but there is so much space that it is nicely spread out and easy to relax. A few restaurant/bars along the beach too right next to the sunbeds.

Quite windy like you would expect by the Atlantic. The one thing I noticed here was the actual sea had a strange smell compared to the other beaches I'd been to in the Algarve which made me spend less time in the sea here. Not the best for swimming compared to some other...

Really got to be the best beach I've visited in Portugal. At the western end of this 5 to 6 km expanse of fine golden sand and clear water there is plenty of room for all sun seekers. Parked car on a large piece of waste ground as you go into vilamoura before the marina which was well used by scores of other vehicles under the trees. Too much commercial and way overcrowded with people from everywhere in the world. Lots of garbage from some tourists. No parking space. No privacy, as everybody is so close to each other. A beach destroyed by commerce, greed and capitalism. Water polluted with gasoline from the sports water tents, even smells and glows alike. Definitely not recommended, and a place to avoid to prevent...
