Loved it.. Tavira as a whole felt sleepy and relaxed considering it’s in the (sometimes infamous)Algarve. It has a nice homely quality, whether it be the countless Cork shops or Basque inspired table decorations, I would love to visit again. If anything I wish there was more information about the town to read about its obvious history. As long as you don’t mind wandering past the odd Chino-short wearing group of men on their golf holidays (they were all harmless and not remotely rowdy).. then I think this is a perfect little spot for nice getaway.. this bridge is a good example of just one of the little nuggets of treasure you find on the quintessentially Portuguese streets.. We passed by this lovely bridge during a quiet afternoon walk, and the view was absolutely peaceful. The calm river, the traditional buildings along the banks, and the soft light in the sky made the whole moment feel timeless.
It’s not a place full of tourist crowds, which made it even more enjoyable for those who like to explore at a slower pace. There are a few nice cafés nearby too — perfect for taking a break and enjoying the scenery.

Read moreT-Bone Heaven. Unreal. The steaks are just insane. I highly recommend the T-Bone for looks, flavour and smell. When you hear people say a steak was buttery smooth. I now know why. The quality of this steak was far higher than say a Gaucho or Miller & Carter. Even Marco Pierre White.
It was so good we went back two nights in a row. Clams and prawns again superb as was the wine. Creme brûlée could have been a bit better was a bit runny for me.
Only negative was the service. Slow and I mean really slow but maybe that’s the impatient...
